At 5165 Western Row Road in Mason, Ohio, Christ's Church is known for putting three words into practice: follow Jesus, love people, and make a difference. Its Sunday rhythm includes worship at 9:00 and 10:30 AM, while ministries for children, students, young adults, adults, and families extend through the week. A licensed weekday daycare, in-person and online groups, and local and global partnerships make the church's mission part of daily life.
Two Sunday Gatherings on Western Row
Christ's Church offers two in-person Sunday worship gatherings at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM at 5165 Western Row Road in Mason. Both times are also offered through CC Online. A Google map provides directions, and a Plan A Visit form is available for newcomers.
Once a month, people who are new to Christ's Church can meet in the Guest Gathering room immediately after a service. CC101 is a one-session class for recent visitors that introduces the church's history, core values, beliefs, and ways to connect. A separate five-week Truth Series explores who God is, how God sees people, and what a life committed to God looks like through the Bible's central truths.
Four CCKids Environments from Birth Through Fourth Grade
CCKids welcomes children from birth through fourth grade into four separate environments, allowing leaders to teach at each child's level. Interactive stories, games, and hands-on activities teach children about God's love in what the church calls a safe and fun atmosphere.
- Nursery: birth to 23 months
- Toddlers: ages 2 to 3
- Early Childhood: ages 4 through kindergarten
- Elementary: grades 1 through 4
All volunteers are background-checked and trained. In the main lobby, the CCKids check-in area is to the right; a CCKids Difference Maker follows the signage, checks in each child, and takes the child to the appropriate classroom.
To support wellness, a child must be free of fever and other symptoms for 24 hours before entering a classroom. The policy identifies fever, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive coughing or sneezing, a questionable rash, open sore, and conjunctivitis as reasons a child must stay out.
Licensed Weekday Care for Children Six Weeks Through Three Years
Christ's Church Kids Daycare provides year-round licensed care for children from six weeks through three years. Care includes healthy snacks, organic options, and a biblical perspective intended to nurture children's spiritual growth. Special events throughout the year bring families together, including Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, and a Christmas program.
Full-time hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while part-time hours are Tuesday through Thursday during the same window. The daycare gives families with babies and toddlers a weekday setting for care, healthy food, and spiritual formation.
Students Meet in the Basement, Young Adults Gather at the Fireplace
CC56
CC56 is for fifth and sixth graders. It meets Sunday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 AM in the basement CC Tween Room. The group emphasizes learning to follow Jesus, having fun, and building relationships with peers and coaches.
CCYTH
CCYTH is for seventh through twelfth graders and meets in the basement Big Room during the same 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM period. Its goals likewise include following Jesus, fun, and relationships with students and coaches.
Check-in opens at 10:10 AM in the basement hallway for both groups. Students and families enter through the main doors, turn right, pass the fireplace, and take the stairs down; music leads toward check-in. CCYTH offers cold brew, dirty sodas, and nine square while people wait for the service to begin.
CCYoung Adults
CCYoung Adults meets every Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the fireplace for Bible study, conversation, and time together. The group parks out front near the awning, enters through the main doors, turns right, and gathers around the fireplace. Bonfires, special events, and ordinary shared life extend the rhythm beyond Thursday nights.
In-Person and Online Groups for Everyday Life
CCGroups gives people a way to join an in-person or online group. The church presents these groups as a way to pursue Jesus, love people, and make a difference in everyday settings, with conversations and relationships extending beyond Sunday worship.
Right Now Media provides members and attendees free access to an online library of Bible-based content and discipleship videos. Subjects include marriage, finance, parenting, mission, theology, and a full library for children. The resource is offered for people at different ages and stages.
Care Through Illness and Loss
Pastoral Care Ministry offers hope, love, and prayer during emotional and spiritual healing or life crisis. Volunteers and church staff make personal visits to people in hospitals, at home, and in nursing homes. Grief Recovery focuses on helping people move beyond death, divorce, and other losses.
Difference Makers Serve Mason and Greater Cincinnati
Local outreach gives Difference Makers concrete ways to serve. The church supports families, creates handmade items for hospitals and public safety officers, hosts food and learning programs, and joins local partners in meeting practical needs.
- Life Forward: Life Forward helps women and their families make life-affirming decisions. The church supports its Change for Life baby bottle drive and Strides for Hope 5K run and walk.
- The Bear Ministry: Volunteers sew, stuff, and dress comfort bears from scratch. The team gathers monthly, then sends the bears to area hospitals, schools, and police departments for people who need comfort and encouragement.
- Joshua's Place: The ministry helps families experiencing poverty overcome barriers to stability. Christ's Church hosts the Mason Food Co-Op every other Tuesday and Reading Recovery in the summer; the partner also provides Whiz Kids tutoring.
- Christ's Church Quilting Group: The group meets at the church on the fourth Monday of each month from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and makes quilts for local hospital patients.
- Crafter's for Christ: The group creates prayer shawls, lap robes, and baby hats for Bethesda North Hospital's ICU and NICU. It meets on the second Thursday of each month from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
- Pause for Parents, Play for Kids: This nonprofit ministry supports and connects children with special needs and their families. Christ's Church contributes space and volunteers to its work.
- Matthew 25 Ministries: A team serves on the third Wednesday of each month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, sorting and organizing supplies for national and international disaster relief and emergency response.
- Impacting Tomorrow: The ministry operates a community market and boutique that distribute food, clothing, and services. Its combined care includes a free-choice market, clothing boutique, medical and dental services, pediatric occupational therapy, and Carry Her.
Through its partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation, Christ's Church hosts Night to Shine, an annual prom experience for people with special needs. Guests receive a red-carpet entrance, hair and nail touch-ups, games, dancing, and karaoke, while volunteers serve the celebration.
Feast for Friends is an annual Thanksgiving outreach that places a warm meal with families who could use additional support. At Christmas, Little Angels enables parents to select new clothes and toys for their children through the Little Angels Shoppe, with church members donating the items.
Mission Partners Carry the Work Around the World
Taking the message of Jesus into the world is central to the church's mission. Global Difference Makers serve through partners that present the gospel, develop leaders, plant churches, care for families, equip communities, and work against exploitation.
- Africa Development Mission: The ministry serves Zimbabwe and beyond. Denford and Shingie Chizanga are on its staff, and the work focuses on presenting the saving message of Jesus Christ and training believers for effective lives and ministry.
- TCM International: TCM develops Christian leaders through higher learning in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, preparing them for significant service and disciple-making movements.
- GO Ministries: GO works in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mongolia, and Urban America through church planting, nutrition centers, medical clinics, sports outreach, primary schools, training, water purification, and kingdom businesses.
- Agape International Missions: AIM combats sex trafficking through rescue, restoration, prevention, and holistic care in Cambodia and the United States, while equipping communities and churches to protect vulnerable people.
- Proem Ministries: Proem reaches youth and families across Poland and Eastern Europe through relational, gospel-centered camps, Christian education, church planting, and community outreach.
- Central India Christian Mission: CICM serves communities across Southern Asia through food, clothing, medical aid, church planting, and mentoring, with a focus on locally led work.
- Baah-Binney: Joshua and Victoria Baah-Binney have served in Ghana for more than 20 years through church multiplication, leadership and counseling training, community development, and advocacy for women through the Trokosi project.
Operation Christmas Child is another global expression of the church's mission. Members pack hundreds of shoeboxes each year, and a team of Difference Makers joins the processing effort in Boone, North Carolina.
The Bible, Jesus, and the Way of Salvation
The Bible is described as God-inspired, with the original writings free from error. It is the final authority for faith, truth, morality, and Christian living.
Christ's Church affirms God the Father Almighty as Creator, Jesus Christ as the eternal Word and the one and only Savior, and the Holy Spirit as the one who convicts, indwells, intercedes, and empowers believers. Jesus is affirmed as fully human and fully divine, sinless, crucified as atonement, bodily raised from the dead on the third day, ascended to Heaven, and destined to return in victory to rule forever.
Salvation is described as forgiveness received only by grace through Jesus's blood. A person receives it through faith in Christ, repentance, and confession of Christ, and the church teaches that every believer is to be baptized by immersion.
Together, these convictions shape a church life that moves from Scripture to worship, from worship to formation, and from formation to service. At Western Row, that rhythm is expressed through Sunday gatherings, age-specific classrooms, adult groups, pastoral care, handmade gifts, food distributions, disaster response, and partnerships across the world.
