St. Louis Family Church calls Chesterfield home at 17458 Chesterfield Airport Road. It is known for the clear two-part motto “Honor God. Help People,” and for gathering a church family that stretches from brand-new babies and toddlers to preteens, teenagers, young marrieds, singles, middle-aged adults, and seniors. Pastor Jeff Perry and Pastor Patsy Perry have dedicated their lives to reaching the local community and people around the world. Friday Church at 7:00 PM and three Sunday services at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:15 AM form the rhythm of the week, with distinct ministries for children, youth, adults, prayer, and teaching.
Honor God. Help People.
Those four words first dropped into Pastor Jeff Perry’s heart while he was seeking God in his early twenties. When Jeff and Patsy were in Bible school, he wrote, “Honor God and Help People - that’s my primary job,” in the back of his Bible. The wording has remained the church’s motto, goal, and target ever since. It is the standard against which the church says everything is measured. The reason for that standard is gratitude to Jesus, whom the church names as the author and finisher of its faith.
The same purpose shapes the church’s shared life. Its congregation is described as people serving, connecting, and flowing together as one body. That shared love for one another, grounded in John 13:35, is the church’s evidence of discipleship. The focus is not only what happens inside the church family but what that family is equipped to do: grow in God, make friends, serve, and help people.
A Home Base for Chesterfield and the Nations
Pastor Jeff’s founding conviction was to build a home base from which to reach the nations of the world. That phrase connects the work at Chesterfield with a mission expressly bigger than one neighborhood or congregation.
The church family is made up of brand-new babies, toddlers, preteens, teenagers, young marrieds, singles, middle-aged adults, and seniors. The church says God has designed all of them to be the expression of St. Louis Family Church. In practice, that means different generations share worship and service rather than being separated into isolated groups.
Pastor Jeff and Pastor Patsy have given their lives to reaching the local community and around the world, with a desire to serve God and spread the love of Jesus. The phrase “Honor God. Help People.” therefore carries both direction and responsibility: honor God, then help the people God puts in front of them.
That vision is lived through a local body. Sunday worship, Friday gatherings, age-specific ministries, small groups, recreation, prayer, giving, and service all give that body practical ways to honor God and help people.
Friday Church and Three Sunday Mornings
Friday Church begins at 7:00 PM and offers a different experience from Sunday morning. Pastor Jeff preaches a different message, and after the service people gather in the lobby for conversation. The atmosphere is described as relaxed and welcoming, with time to meet other families and connect beyond the service itself.
Sunday worship is held at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:15 AM. All weekend gatherings take place at 17458 Chesterfield Airport Road in Chesterfield. The three Sunday services provide multiple times for members of the same church family to worship and gather together throughout the morning.
Weekend services are also livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook, and recordings remain available for later viewing through Watch Live and the church’s YouTube channel. A visitor can therefore follow the same service from home.
The Friday and Sunday gatherings are joined by other recurring rhythms that keep church life from being a single weekly event: daily prayer, a women’s meeting, youth nights, Children’s Church, Bible studies, and adult gatherings. Together they give each age and stage a place to belong while keeping the larger church family connected.
A Church Family Made Up of Every Generation
Adult life at St. Louis Family Church includes people from every stage between 18 and 99. The church offers a mix of spiritual growth, Bible knowledge, friendship, recreation, and service. Book and Bible studies, breakfasts, prayer walks, sports, and outdoor activities give adults different ways to gather and deepen relationships with one another.
- Men: Seasonal gatherings include prayer walks, basketball leagues, and breakfast events, creating room for fellowship and shared activity.
- Women: Pastor Patsy leads a weekly meeting at 9:30 AM on Wednesdays with biblical teaching and insight. Women’s breakfasts are also part of the rhythm, and childcare is provided for both Wednesday gatherings and breakfasts.
- 20s and 30s: College students, those beginning careers, and those building families are invited into community nights, small groups, and special events designed to connect faith with real life.
- 55 and older: The church honors older generations with periodic gatherings that create fellowship, connection, and a place within the wider church family.
Connection is also built through shared activities. The church names trivia nights, young-adult hangouts, special nights of prayer, women’s breakfasts, and connection time for moms alongside Bible studies. These gatherings give people different reasons to gather, from quiet reflection to laughter and sport, while keeping every activity tied to the shared purpose of serving God and others.
Children’s Church by Age
The church’s Children’s Church is designed for newborn through fifth-grade children. Its emphasis is simple: children are never too young to hear how much Jesus loves them. Trained staff and approved volunteers give children personal care and attention in a fun, safe, and engaging environment where the Bible comes alive and serving God is presented as something joyful.
Children’s Church meets during the regular Friday and Sunday services. Separate rooms make room for age groups:
- Newborn through 5 years old: Children’s Building South.
- Kindergarten through 5th grade: Children’s Building North.
- Grades K-1: East Classroom.
- Grades 2-5: West Classroom.
Families who need help finding the right area can visit the Information Desk in the Worship Center Lobby. That practical detail is part of the church’s effort to make its children’s ministry easy to join and navigate.
Mom’s Day Out on Tuesdays
Mom’s Day Out serves children ages 2 to 5 who are not yet in kindergarten, Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Children bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and any needed diapers; the church provides snacks and a safe setting. A minimal fee applies.
Wednesday Nights for Middle School and High School
Youth gathers every Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Youth Auditorium. The evening includes a special service and hang time for middle school and high school students. It is a place to worship God together, study the Bible, connect with people the same age, have fun, and build friendships that can last for years.
Students are also invited into service opportunities throughout the church. That wider involvement gives youth a practical place to belong, contribute, and grow alongside the adults and children who make up the wider church family.
Prayer That Travels Through the Week
Pastor Jeff leads a daily prayer service at 7:00 PM from Saturday through Thursday. It can be joined on a phone or computer while walking, driving, or watching with family at home. Recordings remain available throughout the week, so a missed gathering does not end someone’s opportunity to pray.
Pastor Patsy’s weekly women’s meeting follows the same practical rhythm at 9:30 AM on Wednesdays. Her messages center on biblical wisdom and insight, and each meeting is posted for later viewing on the church’s YouTube channel.
Pastor Jeff also posts a daily encouraging video on YouTube. Together, the daily prayer service, the women’s meeting, and the devotional videos create several ways to make faith part of the ordinary hours of a week. Prayer is not confined to a church room; it can accompany a walk, a drive, or time with family at home.
What St. Louis Family Church Believes
The church believes the entire Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God, the revelation of God’s will, and the final authority for the Christian life. It believes in one God, the Creator of all things, revealed in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is affirmed as fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, crucified, and resurrected. He is acknowledged as High Priest and Advocate, now seated at the right hand of God the Father.
Salvation is understood as a personal relationship with Jesus obtained by asking Him into one’s heart. The church teaches that forgiveness of sins comes through the shed blood of Jesus and that every person needs the grace and mercy of God. It believes in heaven and hell and identifies receiving Jesus as the only way to heaven.
Believers are baptized in water after placing faith in Jesus and publicly identifying with Him. The church also believes in the present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose purpose is to glorify Jesus Christ and instruct and empower believers for godly living and service. Communion remembers Jesus’ sacrifice and celebrates His resurrection power. The church expects Jesus’ return and the bodily resurrection of those who died in Jesus, believes Jesus is the Healer and that healing is for today, and teaches the power and effectiveness of prayer.
At the center is the shared calling to honor God and help people. The church presents this not as a slogan detached from daily life, but as a direction for prayer, service, healing, relationships, and the stewardship of time and money.
Baptism, Baby Dedication, and New Beginnings
Water baptism is taught as an acknowledgment of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection and as a believer’s public identification with Him. The church emphasizes that baptism involves present belief and is an act of obedience. Baptisms take place during the 7:00 PM service on the second Friday of each month, with a class from 6:00 to 7:00 PM before the service. Participants age 17 and under need a parent-signed form.
A Multigenerational Baby Dedication
Baby Dedication takes place during a Sunday service when the church can come together to believe God for a child’s life and purpose. The practice reflects the church’s multigenerational character: an entire congregation surrounds a family with prayer and support.
Receiving Jesus
The church teaches that a person can receive Jesus at any time and points to Romans 10:13: “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Its suggested prayer says, “Dear God, in my heart I believe that Jesus truly is Your Son, and that He died for my sins and He rose from the dead. I repent for every time I have sinned. I accept Jesus into my life right now, to lead and guide me as my Lord. Thank You for saving me. Amen.” The church summarizes its hope with the words, “What we see as failure, God sees as future,” adding, “There is stability in Jesus.”
Serving Others and Good Stewardship
Volunteer opportunities are woven through the life of the church. Approved volunteers are welcomed into service opportunities throughout church life, and the church presents volunteering as one of the best ways to build community, use personal gifts, and participate in what God is doing. Pastor Jeff’s teaching on serving emphasizes three qualities: serve through love, serve with gladness, and serve with faithfulness. Jesus’ example of servant leadership keeps service tied to humility rather than recognition.
Service is not presented as a separate activity from worship. The church connects spiritual growth with the use of time, money, gifts, and practical help. Its teaching on giving describes generosity as something directed toward other people, while its volunteer life invites congregants to participate actively.
St. Louis Family Church also teaches that giving is part of good stewardship. Its giving options include PayPal, text-to-give, cash, check, or credit card during the offering, checks by mail, and an online account for managing contributions.
The biblical teaching presented by the church includes tithing as giving 10 percent of income, offerings as gifts, and alms as money or goods given to people who are less fortunate. All three are framed as responsible ways to manage what God has entrusted to believers.
Messages That Continue Between Gatherings
The church keeps a growing collection of messages and a podcast of sermons and teachings from Pastor Jeff. The message archive and podcast collection cover subjects such as salvation, hearing God’s voice, drawing near to God, abundant life, hope, deliverance, the Holy Spirit, prayer, serving, and biblical stewardship.
Pastor Jeff’s letters continue the same teaching emphasis. Across subjects including remembrance, victory, daily devotion, putting God first, and following through, the recurring instruction is to begin and end the day with God, use Scripture, pray about everything, and serve others faithfully. These teachings give congregants ways to continue growing between services while keeping the local church and the call to honor God and help people at the center.
One Family, One Shared Purpose
St. Louis Family Church gathers a full range of ages: babies receive care in the children’s building, youth meet in the Youth Auditorium, adults build friendships through studies and recreation, and the whole church shares worship at the Chesterfield address. Prayer runs through the week, teaching continues between gatherings, and service gives every part of the family ways to participate.
Baby Dedication, Children’s Church, youth nights, and adult gatherings show how different stages of life remain connected within one church family. The same Sunday services gather the generations, while specialized rooms and gatherings give children, students, and adults places to grow in ways suited to them.
At the center remains the four-word identity that has guided the church from its founding vision to its present life: “Honor God. Help People.” St. Louis Family Church is a multigenerational Chesterfield church where worship, discipleship, family connection, practical service, and a shared sense of purpose belong to one body.
