Preston Ridge Church sits on Hillcrest Road in Frisco, Texas, a Southern Baptist congregation that has built its identity around Life Groups, multigenerational ministry, and a long-running vision of helping people take their next step with Jesus. The church's motto, drawn from Matthew 4:19, frames the work plainly: "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Each Sunday the rhythm is the same: Life Groups at 9:30 a.m., worship at 10:45 a.m., and the doors open to anyone who wants to find a place in the life of the church.
Sunday mornings at Preston Ridge
Life Groups are the entry point for almost every age and stage at Preston Ridge. They meet on campus at 9:30 a.m. and run for an hour before worship, with a class designed for nearly every kind of household. There are groups for Parents of Preschoolers in Room 101B, Parents of Elementary in Room 101C, Parents of Students covering teens and college in Room 100B, a multi-generational adults class in Room C110, a Boomers group in Room 100A, and a College and Young Adults group in Room 101A. Newcomers can find a fit by stopping at the Connect Area in the lobby.
Worship begins at 10:45 a.m. in the Worship Center. Music kicks off the service, and a coffee station in the main lobby is open beforehand. The congregation describes itself as light-hearted and friendly, leaning toward the casual end of the spectrum, and the staff strive for excellence without taking themselves too seriously. Children of any age are welcome to sit with their families in the Worship Center, and a Children's Check-In desk sits down the main hallway for those who want to drop off their kids. Sunday services are livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.
Wednesday nights and the Family Nights study
Wednesday nights are a second front door. Children and adults meet from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., and students gather from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. The adults gather for a Family Nights study that runs in two parallel tracks. Lead Pastor Mark Caswell leads "10 for 10," which walks participants through sharing their faith story and discipling people in their everyday relationships. The men's and women's groups work through a separate study with a joint opening session and breakout groups that follow, and snacks and fellowship time run alongside the study each week. Children and youth programming is scheduled at the same time, so the whole family can be on campus together.
RidgeKids and Ridge Students
RidgeKids serves children from birth through fifth grade across both Sunday hours. At 9:30 a.m. all Ridge Kids explore the Bible together, and the rooms are designed to feel safe, welcoming, and fun. During the 10:45 a.m. worship service, an extended class is offered for birth through pre-K so parents can drop off little ones, and a separate "RiSE with RidgeKids" gathers kindergartners through fifth graders for worship, games, and Bible learning. The ministry is described as a place where kids can grow in faith, discover God's love, and take their next step with Jesus. First through fifth graders also meet mid-week for active learning around the Armor of God, with games and snacks, and Vacation Bible School runs in the summer.
Student Ministry is built around middle and high schoolers in the middle of figuring things out. Students in grades 6-12 meet in the Youth Room, Room 107, for small group Bible discussions. Middle schoolers meet at 5:00 p.m. in the Student Room at Preston Ridge, and high schoolers gather at 6:45 p.m. Student Pastor Zander Turner's vision is shaped by 2 Timothy 2:2, investing in faithful people who can teach and lead others. The goal is a student ministry where students are equipped to lead, serve, disciple others, and carry their faith beyond the student ministry years. The ministry also connects students to KLIFE, a Christian discipleship and fellowship program for 6th-12th graders.
Ridge International: a South Asian expression of worship
Ridge International is a South Asian worship community within Preston Ridge, gathering to worship Jesus in multiple South Asian languages while remaining rooted in Scripture and the mission of the local church. Gatherings may include worship, prayer, Scripture, and preaching in languages like Hindi, Nepali, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English, creating space to connect with God in the language of the heart. Worship styles, music, and prayer expressions draw on South Asian cultures while staying rooted in biblical truth. The vision comes from Revelation 7:9, a picture of every nation, tribe, people, and language gathered before the throne. Ridge International meets on the second Sunday of each month at 6:00 p.m. for a service that runs through 7:15 p.m., with weekly gatherings planned to begin in January 2027.
Missions: across the street and around the world
The mission strategy at Preston Ridge is built around three words: PRAY, GO, and GROW. PRAY is the foundation, drawn from Luke 10:2 and Acts 1:14, with the conviction that mission begins on knees, hearing God's heart for people and asking Him to open doors. GO is about obedience, drawn from Matthew 28:19 and John 20:21, with the conviction that the church does not wait for people to come but goes to them across the street, across cultures, across cities, and across the globe. GROW is intentional discipleship, drawn from Matthew 28:20 and Colossians 1:28, helping people mature in faith and become disciple-makers. The church gathers for regular Serve Days, including one at the Frisco location of Children's Hunger Fund, where volunteers pack and organize boxes of essential supplies for families in need.
Locally, Preston Ridge partners with a number of ministries. Real Options empowers patients facing unplanned pregnancy with free, confidential services. DIRECTION61:3 helps youth transition from foster care into thriving adult life. Cornerstone Ranch empowers adults with special needs through Place, People, and Purpose. KLIFE disciples and fellowships 6th-12th graders. 2cultivate encourages, equips, and engages pastors and church leaders. Internationally, the church supports Serve Hope in Siguatepeque, Honduras, a ministry that began in a coffee shop and now invests in education, clean water, housing, entrepreneurship, vocational training, and soccer. The church also supports the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and Operation Christmas Child.

A Southern Baptist identity
Preston Ridge is aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention and adheres to The Baptist Faith and Message. At the state level, the church comes alongside other Baptist General Convention of Texas churches in times of need and collaborates on various projects. Locally, the church partners with the Collin Baptist Association for mission trips and resources.
The church's stated mission is to help people take their next step with Jesus. The vision is to be a church that is a cultivated community of disciples who are transformed by God's Word and live out the gospel in all areas of their lives. Five values anchor the church: Saved by Jesus; Trusting in God's Word; Engaged in Prayer; Pursuing God through the freedom of the Gospel; and Supporting others with steadfast love.
The rhythm of the church
Preston Ridge keeps the rhythm of a Southern Baptist church that has gathered on Hillcrest Road for decades. A casual morning coffee in the lobby opens into Life Groups, Wednesday night studies, RidgeKids classes, Ridge Students small groups, Ridge International services in South Asian languages, and Sunday worship. The church meets at 5849 Hillcrest Road in Frisco, and the mission is the same for every person who walks through the door: to help them take their next step with Jesus.
