Reaching People, Building Lives Across Acadiana
Our Savior's Church, often called OSC, anchors a growing network of eight campuses spread across south Louisiana, from Broussard and Lafayette in the heart of Acadiana out to New Iberia, Opelousas, Youngsville, Abbeville, and Ville Platte. The motto that frames everything the church does is simple: "Reaching People, Building Lives" through a growing relationship with Jesus and others. Sunday morning services, midweek programs for students, women's Bible studies, small groups, world missions, and pastoral care all flow from that single sentence.
OSC describes itself as "a Christian, non-denominational, Bible-centered church," and the leadership of Senior Pastors Jacob and Michelle Aranza oversees the entire family of campuses. Each campus has its own Lead Pastors, but every location shares the same weekend rhythm, the same doctrinal foundation, and the same conviction that a church should feel like a spiritual family. First-time visitors are greeted at an Info Center after each service and invited to learn about the next steps the church offers, from small groups and baptism to serve teams.
Eight Campuses, One Church
The Broussard Campus sits at 655 Highway 96 and serves as one of the church's flagship locations, hosting the original Kid's Camp every summer and a full slate of midweek activities. The Lafayette Campus at 1201 E. Broussard Road is the largest gathering point, with three Sunday services, weekly student nights, regular communion services, and the offices for many churchwide ministries. The Midtown Campus, located at 101 Marie Antoinette in Lafayette, brings the same worship and teaching to a more intimate setting with two Sunday services.
Beyond Lafayette, OSC stretches across Acadiana. The New Iberia Campus meets at 4201 E. Admiral Doyle Drive, the Opelousas Campus at 202 Our Savior's Church Boulevard, and the Youngsville Campus at 1800 Chemin Metairie Parkway. Two of the most recent additions are Abbeville (901 Wildcat Drive) and Ville Platte (1881 East Main Street). Youngsville students who attend high school meet at the Lafayette Campus for their Sunday night gathering, while Youngsville middle schoolers meet at the Youngsville Campus during the morning services.
The business office for the whole church operates from 655 Highway 96 in Broussard, and the accounting office that processes tithes and offerings is located at 101 Marie Antoinette Street in Lafayette. Each campus also has its own phone number and a dedicated email address, and most maintain active Facebook and Instagram pages alongside the churchwide accounts.
What a Sunday Service Looks Like
Weekend services across the campuses run roughly one hour and include a time of contemporary worship followed by biblical teaching. Ushers and greeters are stationed throughout the building to help newcomers find their way, and the dress code is simple: "Come as you are! The dress ranges from casual to professional." People "from every background, race, and creed imaginable" attend OSC, and the welcome extends to anyone walking through the doors.
Service times vary slightly by location. Broussard, Lafayette, and Opelousas offer three Sunday morning services at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 a.m. Midtown, New Iberia, Youngsville, Abbeville, and Ville Platte hold two Sunday morning services at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Communion is observed on the first Sunday of the month at the Lafayette Campus, and water baptism is scheduled on the fourth Sunday of the month at both Broussard and Lafayette.
Kids Ministry from Nursery Through Fifth Grade
The Kids Ministry partners with parents to lead children into a growing relationship with Jesus and others. The nursery is designed in stages for children from six weeks old through kindergarten, with trained caregivers providing age-appropriate Bible lessons and activities for children aged two and older. Each weekend service, kindergarten through fifth graders gather for the Elementary service, a high-energy experience with engaging worship, biblically centered messages, games, and small group time.
Safety is built into every layer of the ministry. A check-in system produces matching security tags for each child and parent. All volunteers and adults eighteen and older pass a background check before serving, and uniformed law enforcement officers monitor the children's areas during weekend services. Parents are texted if they are needed during a service, and children are asked to be free of persistent coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, colored runny nose, and fever for at least twenty-four hours before check-in. Toys and high-touch surfaces are sanitized after every service.
Each summer, Kid's Camp brings hundreds of first through fifth graders to the Broussard Campus for four days of worship, messages, small groups, and outdoor activities, all built around Luke 10:27. The camp serves lunch and snacks, runs water days with separated changing stations, and provides bus transportation for campers from the New Iberia and Opelousas Campuses. Background-checked volunteers, armed officers on site, and trained medical staff make safety a top priority.
Students in Middle School and High School
OSC Students exists to help middle school and high school students take their next step in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The goal is to see students move along their spiritual journey toward maturity in their Christian walk, and the ministry is intentionally age-segmented. Each campus offers its own combination of middle school and high school gatherings, with leaders who stay connected to students through the week.
At Broussard, middle schoolers meet on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and high schoolers gather on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Lafayette offers middle school on Sundays at 10:00 and 11:30 a.m. in the MPR, with Student Nights for high schoolers on Sundays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Midtown hosts middle school on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. and high school on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. New Iberia has middle school on Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. and high school on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Opelousas brings middle schoolers together on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and high schoolers on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Youngsville offers middle school on Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. at the Youngsville Campus, and high schoolers meet on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. at the Lafayette Campus. Abbeville gathers middle school on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. and high school on Sundays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Ville Platte focuses on high school on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
The ministry provides a steady stream of Bible reading plans through the YouVersion app, covering topics like identity, purity, parenting, family devotions, and devotional plans for moms and dads. The list includes the One Year Bible, New Life in Christ, First Steps with Jesus, Radical Wisdom, Christian Fatherhood, and Play the Man, giving families a way to grow together throughout the week.
Young Adults, College Students, and Sub30
OSC Young Adults exists to help young adults, married or single, grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through direction, authentic relationships, and fun. The ministry spells out four outcomes for those it serves: Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, Make a Difference. A gathering called Sub30 is the social and spiritual hub for this age group, with meetings tied to the campus calendar and accessible through Instagram and Facebook.
Women's Bible Study on Wednesday Nights
Each fall and spring, OSC runs a four-week Women's Bible Study called "Cultivate: Nurturing Divine Friendships," meeting every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. across all campuses. The series covers topics designed to deepen relationships with God and with one another, and the meetings rotate through the campus locations. Broussard meets at 655 Highway 96, Lafayette at 1201 E. Broussard Road, Midtown at 101 Marie Antoinette, New Iberia at 4201 E. Admiral Doyle Drive, Opelousas at 202 Our Savior's Church Boulevard, and Youngsville at Crème de la Crème on 727 Young Street. Abbeville women join the New Iberia gathering at 4201 E. Admiral Doyle Drive. Past teaching has been led by Michelle Aranza, Heidi Reiszner, Hailey Stroderd, Lindsay Sathre, and Alicia Moran, and the video recordings remain available online after each semester ends.
Men's Ministry
Men have their own rhythms inside the church. A recurring Men's Bible Study meets on Thursdays at 6:30 a.m. at the Midtown Campus. A Men's Community Breakfast is held at the Broussard Campus on a recurring monthly basis, gathering men from across the campuses for food, fellowship, and encouragement. A series of YouVersion plans geared toward fathers is curated for the men of OSC, including Radical Wisdom, Christian Fatherhood, and Play the Man.
Small Groups, Freedom Groups, and Love for a Lifetime
Small groups are the connective tissue of life at OSC. "Life is better when we grow together," the church teaches, "and groups are one of the best ways to build meaningful relationships, grow in your faith, and do life with others." Each fall semester, the church launches four group types: Freedom Groups, Love for a Lifetime marriage groups, and a range of topical groups that vary by campus. Two additional curriculum-based studies round out the slate. Every campus has its own group leader pipeline and group directory, and the church provides a weekly Church Note discussion guide so any group can follow the previous Sunday's message.
Freedom Groups walk members through inner healing and spiritual freedom as a small group experience, often serving as a companion to the Soul Care ministry described below. Love for a Lifetime is a six-week marriage group experience created by Pastor Jacob and Mrs. Michelle Aranza to help couples grow stronger together. Each week includes video teaching, guided discussion, and biblical principles that speak to real-life marriage topics like communication, intimacy, family, conflict, and spiritual connection. Whether couples are newly married or have decades together, the groups are designed to help them intentionally invest in their relationship alongside other couples.
Life on Purpose groups study the Book of Colossians over seven weeks with weekly videos that go live on Sundays at 3:00 p.m., supporting the same kind of sermon-based small group experience that has long been a hallmark of the church. RightNow Media is available as a free resource for anyone in a group.
Soul Care: Counseling, Inner Healing, and Recovery
Soul Care is the umbrella for OSC's pastoral care and addiction services. The department offers professional counseling for individuals, teens, and couples through Devin Brown and Tammy Matte at Central Counseling, and pastoral counseling for premarital preparation, prayer, and transformation groups through Pastor Paul Neel. Inner Healing is offered as a guided next step for those ready to go deeper after completing foundational work like Freedom. Restoring the Foundations (RTF) is an issue-focused deliverance ministry that helps participants identify generational curses and begin breaking them; the first step is to email rtf@oscfamily.com.
Breaking Free is a Christ-centered recovery ministry for individuals and families impacted by addiction, addressing substance abuse, alcohol, pornography, gambling, sex addiction, and other destructive patterns. The group is hosted at the Lafayette Campus during the Spring and Fall semesters and meets in a "safe, grace-filled space where healing can begin and freedom can be found."
The Retreat at Sunset is an exclusive ministry home devoted to Adult & Teen Challenge graduates, providing a discipleship environment that continues their growth and raises them up to be leaders in the community. Directed by Michael Hankins and operating under the covering of OSC, the home serves as the next step for men called to leadership. The Retreat Referral Network helps connect Adult and Teen Challenge alumni to ongoing ministry opportunities. Contact for Soul Care runs through lifecare@oscfamily.com or 337-839-8889.
With Love Ministries: Prison, Bereaved Mothers, and Senior Care
With Love Ministries was birthed four years ago out of a vision to be the hands and feet of Jesus in three areas: retirement communities, bereaved mothers, and a dedicated jail ministry for women. The ministry is led by Michelle Aranza and a team of volunteer leaders who serve on the front lines.
The Prison Ministry is co-led by Kim Martin and Dr. Patrice Ambrose. Kim and her husband Jack began attending OSC seven years after Kim surrendered her life to Christ in 2006; her family has walked alongside incarcerated loved ones for over forty years, which shaped her heart to bring hope and healing into prison settings. She has co-led OSC's prison ministry since 2015. Dr. Ambrose, a recently retired psychiatrist, leads Bible studies and holiday events for incarcerated women, alongside the divorce care ministry she has led at OSC for six years.
The Bereaved Mothers ministry is led by Ivette Vasquez, who has been part of the OSC family for over twenty years. After the loss of her oldest daughter, Abigail, and her husband's paralysis, Ivette leaned on her faith and her church family. She holds several counseling, coaching, and mental health certifications, and her calling is to tend to mothers walking the same road she has walked.
The Retirement Home and Senior Living ministry is led by Olivia S., who grew up in OSC's nursery and has always gravitated toward older adults. Along with her husband Joshua, Olivia writes heirloom biographies for grandparents and dreams of the day when every resident of Acadiana's nursing and assisted living facilities is visited, seen, heard, and lavished with the love of Christ.
World Missions
Missions is a central pillar of OSC, and the church fields multiple international mission teams each year. The missions motto is "Reaching People, Building Lives," and the aim is to see people encounter the love and power of God in such a real and new way that they would never be the same again. The missions department operates through three phases: Equip (discipleship), Train (local missions and internships), and Send (world trips and short-term missions).
Upcoming trips include Mexico (June 2027), Kenya (May 2027), Belize (June 2027), Paraguay (September 2027), Honduras (May-June 2027), Colombia (June-July 2027), El Salvador (November 2027), and Guatemala (March-April 2027). Trips range in difficulty from "Easy" for first-time missionaries to "Difficult" for experienced travelers, and costs range from approximately $1,950 to $3,200 depending on the destination. Each trip is rated by the missions department on a one-to-ten scale based on travel length, living conditions, cultural differences, and the spiritual environment of the community being served. Trip fees include international round-trip airfare, trip insurance for emergencies, all lodging, meals, and ground transportation at the destination.
The Guatemala trip is uniquely designed for families to serve together. The Mexico trip partners with Mexico Outreach to lead Vacation Bible School activities, assist with local church services, and complete a small construction project. The Kenya trip partners with Kufikia International to serve Maasai people through construction projects, home-to-home evangelism, and school visits. Most other trips partner with Juvenet International, a longstanding ministry partner of OSC, to assist with construction projects and a variety of ministry opportunities within the local church. Applications are processed through Managed Missions, and the missions department can be reached at missions@oscfamily.com or 337-369-8000.
Locally, Love Acadiana is OSC's outreach hub, connecting volunteers to serve opportunities in their own community through partner organizations across Acadiana.
Prayer Across the Week
Prayer is woven into the weekly rhythm of every campus. Broussard hosts Morning Prayer on Mondays at 6:00 a.m. and Growing in Prayer on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Lafayette hosts Growing in Prayer and Intercessory Prayer on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. Encounter Nights run on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Broussard, Lafayette, and Midtown, offering extended time of worship and ministry. The church maintains a dedicated prayer team to support anyone who reaches out with a request.
Mother's Day Out and Acadiana Christian School
Mother's Day Out is OSC's weekday preschool program for young children. Acadiana Christian School, a separate Christian school, is linked to the OSC family of ministries and offers a tuition-based educational option for families looking for a Christ-centered academic environment.
Freedom Ministry
Freedom is OSC's ministry for those pursuing inner healing and breakthrough, often paired with small group participation. The journey begins with foundational steps and moves toward deeper ministry experiences through the Soul Care department.
What OSC Believes
The doctrinal foundation shared by every campus includes: The Holy Bible is the divinely inspired, authoritative Word of God, with the original manuscripts considered inerrant and the Scriptures understandable to anyone willing to follow them. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary, was both fully God and fully man without sin, performed miracles, died on the cross for man's sin, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return again in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit inspired the writing of Scripture, convicts of sin, calls people to Jesus Christ for redemption, comforts believers, and enables understanding of truth. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are in operation in the church today through the lives of believers. Adam and Eve were created by God in His own image and chose to disobey, bringing sin and death into the world; salvation is by faith alone, through confession and belief in the risen Lord and Savior. Water baptism by immersion is a sign of inward cleansing, a picture of sharing in the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
The Church is the fellowship of God in Christ and the family of all believers who have accepted the free gift of salvation and profess the Lordship of Christ. The Church engages in worship, the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, nurtures believers, admonishes and teaches every believer, and brings His teachings to all nations. God has appointed a day when He will judge the world, demonstrating His mercy by eternal salvation in Heaven for those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and His justice by eternal damnation in Hell for those who have rejected God's free gift of salvation.
Giving
Giving is framed as a response to God's grace, with tithes and offerings supporting the local ministry and outreach work of OSC. Members can give online by bank account, debit, credit, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, and additional giving options include stock, cryptocurrency, and donor-advised funds. Recurring gifts can be set up by texting "OSC Broussard," "OSC Lafayette," "OSC Midtown," or "OSC Opelousas" to 833-271-8565. Checks can be mailed to the office at 655 Highway 96, Broussard, LA 70518, or to 101 Marie Antoinette Street, Lafayette, LA 70506. Each campus has its own online giving option so contributions can be designated to a specific location.
The church's theology of generosity connects the practice of tithing to the broader call of stewardship over time, talents, and treasure. A Legacy offering is collected once each year when campuses join together to finance major expenditures, physical buildings, and large-scale outreach efforts. Giving statements are available through OSC Family, the church's online portal at oscfamily.com.
Leadership Across the Campuses
Senior Pastors Jacob and Michelle Aranza anchor the Directional Team and serve at the Lafayette Campus. Lead Pastors and their spouses lead each of the other campuses: Joseph and Richelle Aranza at Abbeville, Ryan and Tammy Johnson at Midtown, Blake and Savannah Cotter at Ville Platte, Kevin and Chrissy Lalonde at Broussard, Gabe and Lauren Smith at Youngsville, Chris and Michelle Reis at New Iberia, and Don and Kayla Norman at Opelousas. Eugene and Heidi Reiszner serve on the Directional Team as well.
Around that core, a wider team carries out specialized ministry. The missions department, Soul Care department, Kids Ministry, Student Ministry, Young Adults ministry, With Love Ministries, Women's Bible Study leaders, and the Retreat at Sunset staff each serve their own slice of the OSC family, all sharing the same conviction that church should be a spiritual family where everyone can take their next step.
Following OSC Online
The church is active across social media, with Facebook, Instagram, and a YouTube channel carrying the latest messages, event announcements, and outreach stories. The OSC Family portal at oscfamily.com serves as the central hub for small group sign-ups, profile information, and giving statements. Events from every campus can be subscribed to through Google Calendar, iCalendar, Outlook 365, and Outlook Live, and calendar subscription links are available for each campus and ministry area.
Our Savior's Church stands as one of the largest non-denominational networks in Acadiana, holding together eight campuses, dozens of ministries, and a far-flung missions program under a single banner: Reaching People, Building Lives. For a family looking for a church with room for everyone from infants to great-grandparents, with Bible teaching, contemporary worship, deep pastoral resources, and a worldwide missions heart, OSC offers a place to belong.
