Rush Creek Church sits at the corner of one simple promise and a sprawling footprint. Its mission is to help people far from God become contagious followers of Jesus, and the way the church carries that out now reaches across five campuses and several surrounding communities. From its flagship Green Oaks campus on SW Green Oaks Boulevard in Arlington to the newer Midlothian location, Rush Creek has become a regional presence in the southern Tarrant and northern Ellis County corridor, known for contemporary worship, family-focused ministries, and a steady stream of community outreach through its Compassion Center.
One Church Across Five Campuses
The Green Oaks Campus at 2350 SW Green Oaks Blvd. in Arlington is the home base and the only Rush Creek location that broadcasts services live online. The Mira Lagos Campus at 1355 Seeton Rd. in Grand Prairie was added to extend the church's reach into the fast-growing Mansfield-Grand Prairie border. The Mansfield West Campus at 2200 U.S. 287 Frontage Rd. serves the western side of Mansfield and Tarrant County. The Arlington Park Campus, located at 5510 Matlock Rd. in southeast Arlington, offers a single 11:00am service tailored to that community. The Midlothian Campus, meeting at 1 Community Circle Dr. inside the conference center, is led by Campus Pastor John Simmons, who helped launch the portable location in January 2021.
A sixth site, Hope Ranch at 1600 Ousley Rd. in Mansfield, is associated with the Compassion Center's recovery and outreach ministry. The official language of the church is that Rush Creek is "one church, multiple locations" - a single congregation expressed through five Sunday-morning gatherings rather than five independent churches.
Sunday Mornings at Rush Creek
Each Sunday, Rush Creek offers a contemporary worship experience built around scripture-saturated singing and Bible-based teaching. Services at Green Oaks, Mira Lagos, Mansfield West, and Midlothian run at 9:30am and 11:00am, while Arlington Park gathers at 11:00am. The Green Oaks services are streamed live online each weekend, and sermons from the other campuses are posted online each Monday afternoon. Listeners can also catch the teaching through a podcast on Spotify and Apple.
The dress code is intentionally casual. Visitors are told to expect blue jeans, khakis, shorts, skirts, and dresses side by side. Music is described as an expression of contemporary culture driven by lyrics that reflect reverence toward God, and the messages are characterized as creative, biblical, and practically relevant.
The 11:00am Green Oaks service is also offered in Spanish through the Español Ministry, pastored by Samuel Cruz. A separate baptism service is held at Green Oaks on the third Sunday of each month for Spanish-speaking attendees.
Lead Pastor and Lead Team
Marty Collier serves as Lead Pastor of Rush Creek Church and is based at the Green Oaks campus, where he preaches and oversees the overall direction of the church. He is joined by Executive Director Mike Wiltz and Business Administrator Shelly Ramsey on the Lead Team. Each campus also has its own Campus Pastor: Bradley Barksdale at Arlington Park, Jeremiah Sarvis at Mira Lagos, John Simmons at Midlothian, and Stephen Rickels at Mansfield West.
The broader staff includes a Family Minister (Micheal Felker), a Groups Life Minister (Josh Rose), a Missions Minister (Steve Webel), a Compassion Minister (Shane Cavitt), and a Director of Counseling (Audra Dahl) who leads the Rush Creek Counseling Center. Worship ministry is led by Lauren Bevill (Worship Minister Lead at Mira Lagos), with Gary Meinecke, Nate Garza, Jonathan Armstrong, Abby Pierro, and Carlos Basurto rounding out a team that serves across all campuses and the Spanish-language service.
What We Believe
Rush Creek's doctrinal statement is traditional and evangelical. The church teaches belief in one God eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; in the deity, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and promised return of Jesus Christ; and in the Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God. Salvation is described as a gift received by faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by self-improvement or works, with eternal security grounded in God's keeping power.
The church also affirms the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer and seeks to guide daily life. On human sexuality, the statement of beliefs is explicit: marriage is defined as the exclusive union of one man and one woman, and any other sexual conduct - including adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual behavior, and pornography - is described as sinful and in need of confession and forgiveness through Christ.
Rush Creek Kids
Rush Creek Kids serves children from eight weeks old through sixth grade during every Sunday morning worship service. Each age group has a developmentally tailored experience, and the curriculum centers on worship, Bible story, and small group discussion. Children check in at a designated station on arrival, and parents use a matching pick-up tag to collect them after service.
On Wednesday nights during the school year, Roots meets from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Green Oaks, Mira Lagos, and Mansfield West campuses for fifth and sixth graders, providing a high-energy environment of worship, small group, and games. For fourth through twelfth graders, the Servant’s Heart program offers a way to serve on Sunday mornings in preschool ministry, Kids Worship, greeting, and other roles. Special by Design is the ministry for children with special needs, ensuring every child has a place that fits.
Rush Creek Students
Rush Creek Students is built around Wednesday nights during the school year, when seventh through twelfth graders gather from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Green Oaks, Mira Lagos, and Mansfield West for worship, teaching, and small group time. Each campus has a dedicated Student Minister - Zach Hinson at Green Oaks, Kade Corley at Mira Lagos, Ryan Higgs at Mansfield West, and Jake Howard at Midlothian - and the church maintains separate Instagram accounts for each campus's student ministry.
Beyond Wednesday nights, students are encouraged to join a small group, serve through Servant’s Heart, and live out their faith in their schools. An annual Student Ministry Kickoff in August brings the campuses together for the start of the school year, and a Parent Connection equips families to disciple at home.
Groups: Small Groups and Care Groups
Group life is the primary vehicle for spiritual formation outside of Sunday services at Rush Creek. Small groups are gatherings of typically eight to twelve people committed to following Christ in biblical community, usually meeting in homes and using sermon-aligned curriculum. Most groups meet weekly, last between ninety minutes and two and a half hours, and remain together for roughly eighteen to twenty-four months.
Care Groups address specific felt needs. The church hosts Re:Engage (marriage enrichment), Divorce Care, Divorce Care for Kids, Grief Share, Shiloh (infertility and miscarriage), and Re:Generation (recovery). All care and recovery groups fall under Night of Hope, which meets on Monday nights from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Green Oaks campus during the school year.
Worship and Creative Arts
The worship ministry at Rush Creek is contemporary and creative, with vocal and band auditions held throughout the year for those who want to serve. Worship Team Development Nights (D-Nights) gather musicians, vocalists, and production volunteers from across all campuses on the last Thursday of each month for training on topics ranging from electric guitar to vocal technique and sound mixing. The church also produces original music; the latest single from Rush Creek Worship, "Fill Us," is available on major streaming platforms.
Compassion Ministry and the Compassion Center
Rush Creek's Compassion Center at Green Oaks anchors the church's outreach to its surrounding communities. The center distributes food, hosts the Great Turkey Take Away each Thanksgiving, and runs Operation Joy, a Christmas-season gift program for local children and families. Backpack meals and monthly food drives keep pantry staples moving to neighbors in need, and a 2026 Arlington Area Job Fair is co-hosted each spring with Workforce Solutions of Tarrant County, Arlington ISD, the City of Arlington, the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and Mansfield Mission Center.
Hope Ranch in Mansfield extends this work with men in recovery, and the church partners with a wide range of local ministries including Mission Arlington, Mission Mansfield, Arlington Life Shelter, Arlington ReSale, Habitat for Humanity, World Relief (refugee assistance), Metroplex Women's Clinic, SafeHaven Women's Shelter, Meals on Wheels, Bridges to Life (prison ministry), and the H.I.M. Center. The PEN Pal program connects congregants with isolated individuals through regular correspondence.
Local and Global Missions
Missions is described by the church as not just a ministry but a mandate. Rush Creek sends teams across the street, across the country, and around the world in partnership with established local churches, meeting physical needs alongside spiritual ones. The strategy emphasizes long-term relationships rather than one-time trips, and members are invited to participate by going, sending, praying, or giving. Mission trip listings are maintained through the church's Missions portal, and questions are routed through rcmissions@rushcreek.org.
Preschool on the Creek
Preschool on the Creek is a weekday preschool operated by the church for two-, three-, and four-year-olds, meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am to 2:30pm. The program includes chapel, music, P.E., and hands-on activities, with all teachers CPR and first-aid certified and background checked. Tuition is $255 per month, with a $100 non-refundable enrollment fee and a $100 supply fee due by July 1. The 2026-2027 school year began on September 10, 2026, and is directed by Erin Taylor.
Rush Creek Counseling
Rush Creek Counseling Center offers licensed counseling services from the church, with locations tied to the campuses. Audra Dahl directs the center, supported by counseling center staff at Arlington Park and the main Green Oaks site. The center is a separate ministry from small groups and care groups but works alongside them.
Men's and Women's Ministry
Rush Creek holds an annual Men's Conference at the Mira Lagos campus, with a Friday evening session and a full Saturday program of teaching, worship, and shared activities. A six-week Men's Small Group study typically follows the conference each fall, along with year-round men's small groups.
Women's ministry centers on a fall Bible study (most recently "The Names of God" in 2026) that meets in homes across the campuses for eight weeks, a Women's Retreat each November (held in 2026 at Spring Lakes Ranch in Waco), and ongoing groups for mothers through MOMCo (formerly Mothers of Preschoolers).
Getting Connected and Next Steps
Rush Creek offers a clear set of next steps for newcomers. Explore Rush Creek introduces the church through a short video from Pastor Marty. Join Rush Creek is an in-person class held several times a year at each campus, complete with a meal, that walks attendees through the church's beliefs, ministries, and the chance to become a Partner. Salvation and Baptism resources walk guests through the decision to follow Christ, and baptisms are held once a month at every campus.
Online giving is available through the church center, with offering boxes at each campus for cash and check gifts. Non-cash gifts such as stocks, bonds, and vehicles can be arranged through the business office. Rush Creek is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
Family Safety
Rush Creek maintains detailed child safety policies covering background checks, training, supervision, and reporting, with anonymous reporting options available through a dedicated portal. Concerns can be directed to childsafety@rushcreek.org, and all adults who work with children are required by Texas law to report any suspicion of abuse to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Digital and Creative Resources
Beyond its own YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, and Instagram channels, Rush Creek provides members with free access to RightNow Media, a streaming library of Bible study, marriage, parenting, and small group resources. The church also produces a podcast and a YouTube channel of previous sermons, a Spotify and Apple playlist of Sunday morning songs, and a Rush Creek Worship music catalog on streaming platforms. The Rush Creek app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
