Sundays at 10:31 on Arapahoe Road
On the east side of Centennial, Colorado, just off the road that shares its name, Arapahoe Road Baptist Church meets every Sunday morning at 10:31 am for a Worship Gathering that leads with music and singing and then opens the Bible for a truth-filled message. The service is the heart of the church's life, the weekly rhythm around which everything else turns. The congregation's motto, posted prominently in its own words, is simple and direct: "Jesus Is Enough." Whether someone walks in during the best year of their life or the worst, the church wants to make sure they feel welcomed and hear the good news.
The Worship Gathering takes place in the auditorium at 780 E Arapahoe Road. First-time guests are invited to wear whatever makes them comfortable; the church says it will be excited to meet newcomers no matter what they wear. The music blends a full choir and a worship band of guitars, bass, drums, and keyboards, with the choir leading regularly and the band supporting worship services and special events throughout the year.
Services are livestreamed on the church's YouTube channel each Sunday morning at 10:31 am, and a sermon archive is available online for catching up or revisiting recent messages. Audio and video from past Sundays are posted for anyone who wants to listen again or hear a message they missed.
Bible Study for All Ages at 9 AM
An hour before the Worship Gathering, the building fills with classes for every age. Sunday morning Bible study begins at 9:00 am and runs across the entire church campus. Parents can drop preschoolers in the preschool area, where the nursery serves newborns through age four in a newly built, safe, and secure nursery center, and where three- and four-year-olds gather in the last classroom of that wing. Kindergarten through fifth grade meet in dedicated children's rooms, and first through sixth graders gather in Room B-3, all using Lifeway's Explore The Bible curriculum.
For middle and high schoolers, the youth room opens at 9 am with Pastor Matthew Perry and a rotating group of adult leaders, combining fellowship, games, teaching, and prayer. Adults have several co-ed classes to choose from downstairs in Rooms 108, 110, and 112, led by teachers such as Ric Myers, Bill Dunn, Wayne Peterson, Ken Dillender, and Winn Allison. Seniors can head upstairs to the Conference Room for a women's class with Denise Berry or join the Adult 6 Co-ed class with David Galloway downstairs.
The 9 am Sunday hour is intentionally relational. Church leaders note that members and regular attenders who develop three to five solid friendships through these small groups tend to stay connected far better. The classes are designed to be gospel-centered communities, not just lectures.
Midweek Bible Study on Wednesdays
On Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm, Pastor Matt leads a Midweek Bible Study in Room 112 downstairs. The current study walks the congregation through Praying Through Acts, an entry point for anyone who has struggled with prayer life and wants to use the Word of God as a catalyst for richer prayer. The series builds on a prior "A Praying Church" study and treats Scripture as the foundation for both who Christ is and how He aims to work in believers.
At 7:00 pm on Wednesdays, the Worship Choir rehearses in the Auditorium. Choir members lead worship on Sundays and sing in special concerts, seasonal services, and other events. Those who sing or play an instrument and want to join the Worship Team - drummers, bass players, guitarists, and keyboardists - can reach the worship pastor through the church office.
Prayer Time on Monday Mornings
Every Monday at 9:30 am, Winn Allison leads Prayer Time in the upstairs Conference Room. The two-hour gathering is set aside to pray for the church, the local community, and the nation. Newcomers are welcome to drop by and join the prayer circle.
Children, Preschool, and ARBC Youth
Arapahoe Road Baptist Church takes the next generation seriously. The preschool and nursery wing is designed for newborns through four-year-olds, with background-checked volunteers who serve during Sunday school classes and the Worship Gathering. Preschoolers engage with age-appropriate Bible teaching. The nursery is presented by the congregation as "newly built, safe, secure and fun," with the church noting that every volunteer maintains up-to-date background checks and is passionate about serving children and families.
Children's ministry for first through sixth grade meets in Room B-3, and the curriculum is Lifeway's Explore The Bible. Children's ministry's stated mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children are lovingly cared for and taught biblical truths, with all volunteers pre-screened and security background-checked.
Youth ministry covers sixth grade through twelfth grade and meets Sunday mornings at 9 am in the youth room. Pastor Matthew Perry and adult leaders work to build a foundation of faith that grows students spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially. The stated mission of the youth ministry is shaped by a single conviction: "ARBC's youth ministry is where Christ impacts us and we impact the world." Parents who want their child to get involved can email Pastor Matthew Perry directly.
Men's and Women's Ministries
The Men's Ministry gathers on the third Saturday of every month at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall for a Men's Breakfast. Dozens of men come for food, fellowship, and a guest speaker chosen to deepen their hope in Jesus. The group operates under the verse from 1 Corinthians 16:13, "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong." Don Green organizes the breakfast and serves as the email contact for the ministry.
On the third Tuesday of every month at 9:30 am, the Women's Ministry meets for breakfast at Le Peep on County Line and Quebec. The ladies take a break from church-based studies during the holiday season and during their fall and spring Bible studies, so the breakfast is not held every month. The Women's Ministry grounds itself in Proverbs 31:30: "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised."
In the fall and spring, the women gather for an in-depth Bible study on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am at the church, typically using a Lifeway study for women. Dee Dunn leads both the monthly breakfast and the seasonal Bible study. The most recent study is Finding God Faithful, an eight-session Kelly Minter study on the life of Joseph, running Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 am in the Adult 6 Classroom, with books available in the church office for $15.
Small Groups Around the Building
The church counts more than sixty "one anothers" in the New Testament - commands to love, encourage, and serve one another - and treats small groups as the primary place where those relationships grow. Sunday morning Bible studies are the largest group of small groups, but a handful of weekday groups meet around the building as well.
Beyond the Sunday morning classes, the church runs Prayer Time on Mondays at 9:30 am with Winn Allison, a seasonal Women's Bible Study on Tuesdays at 9:30 am led by Dee Dunn, the Wednesday night Midweek Study with Pastor Matt at 6:00 pm, and seasonal GriefShare groups on Thursdays at 6:00 pm. Rooms are spread across the building: downstairs in Rooms 108, 110, and 112, and upstairs in the Conference Room. Anyone interested in connecting can contact the church office at 303-794-3033.
GriefShare and ARBCares
ARBCares is the church's outreach arm for people walking through heavy seasons. Through classes, seminars, and videos, ARBCares provides tools for people in times of need. The main expression of this is GriefShare, a 13-week support group for those grieving the death of a loved one. Led by Winn Allison, GriefShare meets on Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Conference Room, each spring and fall. The program covers personal mortality, death, dying, and eternal life, along with practical help for coping with grief in all its unpredictability. A Surviving the Holidays seminar, also part of the GriefShare family, helps those grieving navigate the holiday season.
ARBCares has also hosted conversations on dementia and Alzheimer's, with guest speakers from Bristol Hospice and Brookdale Senior Living sharing resources for families affected by memory loss and aging.
Missions Near and Far
Arapahoe Road Baptist Church takes seriously the Great Commission, and its missions ministry spans Colorado, the region, and the world. Locally, the church supports the Nicy Murphy Colorado Missions Offering, named for Nicy Murphy's work in missionary support and education, which funds seminary scholarships, summer camps, college ministries, and Colorado-specific mission efforts across the state.
Twice a year or so, a team from ARBC travels east of Pueblo to Sugar City, a town of about 260 people, to help with food distribution alongside Eddie Nicandro and Hands of God Ministry. Internationally, the church has partnered with a house church in Gyor, Hungary, since 2001, and is working to help establish a church in southern Trinidad and Tobago. One of the church's pastors, Scott Morter II, has been appointed through WorldVenture as a missionary to Ireland.
Each December the church promotes the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions, which supports more than four thousand Southern Baptist missionaries through the International Mission Board. The church also participates in Operation Christmas Child, packing shoebox gifts with toys, school supplies, and personal items for children around the world. Christ commanded His church to "Go, and make disciples," and the missions ministry is a direct response to that call.
Music and Worship Ministry
The Music Ministry at ARBC centers on a simple conviction: "Our calling and purpose is to worship God in Spirit and in truth and to lead others to Him through worship." The Worship Choir leads worship regularly on Sundays and sings in special concerts, seasonal services, and other events. The ARBC Worship Band - with guitars, bass, drums, and keyboards - plays a vital role in worship leadership. Musicians of all kinds are encouraged to bring their talents and join the team.
The church is intentional that worship is not a performance but a ministry. Through choir, band, and soloists, the music ministry aims to encourage and influence people in worship beyond the walls of the church. Those interested in joining the Worship Team can contact the worship pastor through the church office.
What ARBC Believes
Arapahoe Road Baptist Church identifies as a Southern Baptist church and adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as its doctrinal statement. The full statement walks through eighteen articles covering Scripture, God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), man, salvation, God's purpose of grace, the church, baptism and the Lord's Supper, the Lord's Day, the Kingdom of God, last things, evangelism and missions, education, stewardship, cooperation, the Christian and social order, peace and war, religious liberty, and the family.
The church teaches that the Bible is God's revelation of Himself to man, totally true and trustworthy, with Christ as the focus of divine revelation. Salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, through regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. Christian baptism is by immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience memorializing the death of the Redeemer.
On the church: a New Testament church is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. Each congregation operates under the Lordship of Christ through democratic processes, with pastors and deacons as scriptural officers. While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.
On marriage and family: marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime, a unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. Parents are to teach their children spiritual and moral values and lead them, through consistent lifestyle example and loving discipline, to make choices based on biblical truth.
ARBC 101 and How to Become a Christian
Anyone interested in joining the church is invited to attend ARBC 101, a membership class led by Lead Pastor Dr. Matthew Perry. The class examines what the church believes, walks through the church's history and ministry, and outlines the path to membership. The next class meets on a Sunday morning at 9:00 am; RSVPs can be made through the church office at 303-794-3033.
For those exploring Christianity for the first time, the church lays out a simple gospel path: God loves you, but because of our sin we are separated from Him, and the penalty for sin is death. Jesus Christ paid that penalty through His death on the cross, and whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Anyone with questions can reach out to Pastor Matt through the church office.

Arapahoe Road Baptist Church loves Centennial and never wants to be the biggest, nicest, fanciest church on the block while forgetting the people who live on the block. The congregation is committed to blessing its city, supporting its community partners, and sharing the gospel with everyone who walks through the door. "Jesus Is Enough" is more than a motto. It is the heartbeat of a church on Arapahoe Road that wants everyone who comes through its doors to know that truth.
