Victory Church has grown from a single congregation in the Oklahoma City area into a four-campus community stretching across two states, and the thing that ties its campuses together is not geography but a shared rhythm of Spirit-filled worship, practical discipleship, and wide-open hospitality. Since 1994 the church has worked to equip people to live, move, and be in the fullness of Christ, and the motto on the church's masthead sums up the result it hopes to see in every person who walks through the doors: Experience Life to the Full.
Four Campuses, One Community
Victory Church gathers in four locations: three English-language campuses and a Spanish-language congregation that shares the Oklahoma City address.
Oklahoma City. The original campus sits on North MacArthur Boulevard in Warr Acres, just outside Oklahoma City proper. Worship Gatherings are held on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., with a Wednesday evening gathering at 6:30 p.m.
Edmond. The Edmond campus meets at 1515 N Kelly Ave. Sundays feature Worship Gatherings at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and a Wednesday evening hour at 6:45 p.m. is set aside for vKids and youth.
Grapevine. North of the metroplex, the Grapevine campus at 729 E Dallas Rd hosts a Saturday service at 4 p.m. and a Sunday morning service at 10 a.m.
Victory Iglesia. Victory Iglesia is the Spanish-language expression of the church, gathering at the same Warr Acres address as the Oklahoma City campus. Sunday worship is held at 2 p.m. and Thursday worship at 7 p.m.
What a Worship Gathering Looks Like
The Worship Gathering is the primary weekly service across every campus. The team describes these services as the place where the church gathers to glorify God through worship, prayer, Scripture, community, salvation, and baptism. Expect an encouraging message rooted in Scripture, congregational worship, and a Spirit-filled atmosphere. Gatherings typically last about an hour and fifteen minutes, and the team notes that the service stays open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The church livestreams its services at live.victory.church and posts recent messages on YouTube, so anyone unable to attend in person can still follow along.
vKids: Birth Through Fifth Grade
vKids is more than supervised childcare. At vKids Gatherings, teachers walk children through worship, age-appropriate teaching, and small-group time designed for them. Programming runs alongside the adult services at every campus.
Oklahoma City offers vKids on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., with a Wednesday gathering at 6:30 p.m. The Edmond campus runs vKids on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. In Grapevine, vKids meets on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m. At Victory Iglesia, vKids gathers on Sundays at 11 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Each campus is staffed by dedicated children's pastors and coordinators.
VYTH: Students in Sixth Through Twelfth Grade
VYTH, the Victory Youth ministry, develops identity and community for middle and high school students. Services focus on teaching the Bible in an age-appropriate way that helps students discover who they are in Christ. Midweek events and small-group rhythms run alongside the weekend experience.
VYTH meets in Oklahoma City on Sundays at 11 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., in Edmond on Sundays at 11 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m., in Grapevine on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., and at Victory Iglesia on Sundays at 11 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Circles: The Church's Small Groups
Circles are Victory's version of small groups, and the team considers them essential to how a follower of Jesus is formed outside Sunday morning. Each Circle is built around a specific kind of community and runs for a season:
- Study and Prayer Circles. Groups centered on Bible study, prayer, and small-group discussion that focus on growing in spiritual and emotional health.
- Relational Circles. Activity-based groups that meet around shared interests like woodworking, disc golf, journaling, or sharing a meal.
- Outreach Circles. Groups that serve the surrounding community in partnership with local organizations.
- Stage-of-Life Circles. Groups for people in similar seasons of life, including young adults, parenting, and marriage.
- Restorative Circles. Groups that provide a safe environment for people seeking healing and freedom from trauma and addiction.
Anyone interested in leading a Circle can apply through the church's Circle leader pathway.
The Serve Team and Discipleship Track
Victory describes itself as built on the service of many rather than the talent of a few. The Serve Team is the volunteer backbone of the church, with people serving in worship and production, hosting, vKids, VYTH, safety, and the Connect team throughout the week and on weekends. Serving is open to anyone who has gone through a simple five-step on-ramp: filling out a connect card, attending Discover Your Victory, talking to a pastor, completing a background check, and starting to serve.
Discover Your Victory is a two-part class for newcomers, returning visitors, and anyone ready to get involved. Session 1 covers the heart, culture, and values of Victory Church, and Session 2 focuses on the participant: personality and gift assessments to help people figure out where they fit. The class also serves as the track into serving on the Serve Team.
What Victory Believes
Victory Church holds a clear doctrinal statement of its beliefs, and the throughline is a classical Trinitarian faith with a strong openness to the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit.
The church teaches that there is one God, eternally existent in three coequal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God the Father is the Creator and sustainer of all things, calling humanity back to Himself through Christ. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, coequal with the Father and the Spirit; He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for sin, rose again on the third day, ascended to Heaven, and will return to reign as King. The Holy Spirit is sent as a Helper who enters a believer's life at salvation and brings power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and daily guidance.
The Bible is the church's supreme source of truth, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and, because it is God-breathed, is truth without error. Salvation is a free gift received by faith in Jesus Christ; turning from a self-ruled life and trusting in Christ is the moment a person is saved and given eternal life. The church teaches that anyone who repents of sin and believes in Christ is to be baptized in water as a public declaration of dying and being raised with Christ, and that the Lord's Supper (bread and the fruit of the vine) is a symbol of sharing in Christ's divine nature, a memorial of His suffering, and a reminder of His promised return.
Victory also practices an explicit theology of the church itself, holding that the church is to be a place where people can belong before they believe, that it is one part of a global family of believers that began in the book of Acts, and that the church's job is to equip people for works of service so they can go out and impact the world for Christ.
The Core Values That Shape Everything Else
The eight core values listed by the church function as a working mission statement for how the staff, the campuses, and the Serve Team approach their work.
- We Are Kingdom-Minded First.
- We Grow Best in Circles.
- We Pray Big Prayers to a Big God and Expect Big Results.
- We Equip All Generations to Continually Take One Step Closer to Christ.
- We Believe in the Power, Gifts, and Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- We Invite People to Belong Before They Believe.
- We Steward God's Resources Well and With Radical Generosity.
- We Are Built on the Service of Many, Not the Talent of a Few.
Two values in particular earn their way into almost everything the church does. Belong before you believe is the open door for first-time guests and for people returning to church after a long absence. The Holy Spirit value shows up in ministry vocabulary, in the church's teaching series, and in the way the leadership describes what happens in a Worship Gathering.
Pastoral Care and Prayer Support
The Care Team walks with people through illness, hospitalization, divorce, job loss, and grief. A prayer request form collects needs from health and job situations to the salvation of family members, and the Care Team responds personally to each request. Bereavement support includes help with funeral arrangements, officiating at visitations and memorial services, grief support groups, and what the church calls Freedom Ministry courses. The pastoral staff makes personal appointments available for anyone walking through a difficult season.
Missions and Outreach Partners
Victory runs an active missions program that pairs local outreach with international partnerships. The church partners with six named organizations and operates its own missions work to Israel and Europe through Victory Promise Mission.
- Beautiful Dream Society. A Christian humanitarian organization focused on leading the fight against human trafficking in Lesotho through prevention, protection, and rehabilitation programs.
- City Rescue Mission. A private faith-based nonprofit providing solution-based ministry to the homeless and near-homeless in the Oklahoma City metro.
- Danita's Children. A nonprofit that rescues, loves, and cares for orphaned and impoverished children.
- City Center. A partner based in the Oklahoma City 405 area code that exists to bring relief and restoration to people's lives.
- Global Mission Partners. A ministry of Victory members Bryan and Cathie Frank, focused on medical missions in Kenya, Nepal, and Mexico.
- Ezra International. A Christian humanitarian aid organization that helps poor Jewish people emigrate to Israel.
Victory Promise Mission, a Victory ministry, leads tours of the Holy Land and other short-term missions opportunities to Israel and Europe, with the goal of helping believers understand the Jewish people's role in God's plan of redemption. The church also publishes periodic short-term trip opportunities, including a Greece trip tied to the letters of Paul and the early Christian movement.
Leadership
Dr. Jon Chasteen has served as Lead Pastor of Victory Church since 2014. Before taking the pulpit at Victory he served as President of The King's University and holds a Doctorate in University Administration from Oral Roberts University. Jon is also the founder of ReLeader, an organization devoted to equipping leaders to rebuild and strengthen organizations they did not start, and the author of ReLeader: How to Fix What You Didn't Break and Half the Battle: Healing Your Hidden Hurts. He and his wife Michele have been married since 2001 and have two children, Corey and Jace.
A global executive team gives shape to the work across all four campuses. Dale Swanson has served as Executive Pastor over Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Administration since 2000 and also acts as Chief Financial Officer. Oscar Ortiz serves as Global Executive Pastor over worship and live production, leading and developing teams across every campus. Wade Smith serves as Global Executive Pastor over campus leadership, providing oversight and direction to campus pastors. Rhonda Davis serves as Global Executive Pastor over culture and team development, with a focus on cultivating healthy teams and a unified staff culture.
Each campus is led by a Campus Pastor supported by an associate team. Adam Frederick serves as Campus Pastor of the Oklahoma City campus; Cameron Haubrick serves as Campus Pastor in Edmond; Clark Costa serves as Campus Pastor in Grapevine; and Giancarlo Cabrera serves as Campus Pastor of Victory Iglesia. Around each campus, dedicated pastors lead vKids, youth, circles, care, connections, and production.
Giving and Stewardship
Victory teaches that giving and tithing are expressions of trust in God rather than a way to earn His favor. The church offers four ways to give.
- Online. One-time gifts and recurring donations can be scheduled online with debit or credit card.
- Cash or check. Secure offering boxes are placed at the exits of every campus. Gifts can also be mailed to the Oklahoma City address with the campus noted on the check.
- Text-to-give. Text GIVE followed by an amount to 1-888-705-3162 with a campus keyword (OKC, EDM, GPV, IGLESIA, or ONLINE) to direct the gift.
- Stocks and crypto. Through a partnership with Overflow, donors can give appreciated stocks or cryptocurrency and potentially save on capital gains taxes; direct stock and crypto donations through Overflow mean up to 20 percent more value for the donation.
Victory publishes annual financial audits in the public record; both 2024 and 2025 audits are available for review.
Worship and Teaching Beyond Sunday
The church has produced a substantial teaching library through its recent-message archive and through article-based formation companions for its sermon series. The current series running across the church is called The Way, a thirteen-week journey through spiritual formation practices drawn from the words and example of Jesus. Each week of the series is accompanied by a written companion that follows a simple rhythm: a recap, the central Scripture and thought, a practice for the week, six days of readings with reflection questions, and a closing prayer. Recent weeks have included The Way of Becoming, The Way of Work, The Way of Rest, The Way of Being Known, The Way of Warfare, The Way of the Word, The Way of Silence, and The Way of Giving Up, written by Jon Chasteen and other pastors on staff. Older devotionals by Barbara Byers are also available in the archive.
Coming as You Are
One of Victory's clearest invitations for newcomers is its casual dress code. There is no specific dress requirement; Sunday best is welcome, as is a favorite sports jersey, and the church's own team is happy to meet guests wherever they are. Each campus runs a Connect Center staffed by pastors and serve-team volunteers before and after the gatherings, and a digital connect card is available online for anyone who prefers to reach out ahead of time.
Victory is a church that takes its beliefs seriously and its Sunday morning lightly, an approach that has helped it grow across two states and four distinct communities without losing the sense of one church learning together to follow Jesus.
