True Vision Church sits on both sides of San Antonio, gathering a single family at a Northeast Campus just outside Kirby and at a Lackland Campus on the southwest side. Pastor Michael Steve Brown preaches across both, and the motto the church repeats on its signage and broadcasts is short and threefold - LOVE God, LOVE yourself, LOVE your neighbor, ALL to the Glory of God. The wider tagline, painted above the welcome section, is "Connecting People, Changing Lives."
Two Campuses, One Church Family
True Vision describes itself as "One Church, Two Locations," and the two campuses give the body a footprint that stretches across the city. The Northeast Campus, which also houses the administrative office, sits at 2826 Ackerman Rd., San Antonio, TX 78219, on the northeast side of town near Kirby. The Lackland Campus is on the southwest side at 7130 US Hwy 90 W, San Antonio, TX 78227. Visitors planning a trip can confirm which campus they are headed to, since the two services use different start times.
Sunday Worship Times
Each campus runs its own Sunday schedule. The Northeast Campus holds two services each Sunday morning, one at 8:00 AM (CST) and another at 11:00 AM (CST). The Lackland Campus meets for one Sunday service at 9:30 AM (CST). True Vision livestreams its Sunday services, broadcasting live at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:00 AM (CST) so that members who are traveling or at home can worship along. The livestream runs on Facebook Live and on YouTube, and a sermon archive goes back through earlier messages on demand.
R.I.S.E.: Wednesday Morning Prayer Online
For those who want a midweek lift, Pastor Brown hosts R.I.S.E. - Rejoice in Spirit & Exhortation - every Wednesday morning at 6:00 AM on Facebook Live. The format is brief and intentional, about fifteen minutes of encouragement, prayer, and spiritual insight before the day begins. R.I.S.E. is designed, in the pastor's words, to "uplift your spirit, refocus your heart, and help you walk boldly in faith throughout the week." Anyone can join in from a phone or computer, and the church encourages viewers to invite a friend along.
What True Vision Believes
True Vision publishes a full statement of faith that anchors the congregation in classic evangelical Baptist convictions. The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the final authority for Christian faith and life. There is one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is true God and true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, who died on the cross as the complete and final sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven where He now serves as High Priest and Advocate. The Holy Spirit's ministry is to convict, regenerate, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. Human beings were made in God's image but fell into sin and are lost apart from the regenerating work of the Spirit. Salvation is offered only through the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus, received by faith, making the believer a child of God. The church looks for the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. There will be a bodily resurrection of all people, to everlasting joy for the saved and to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment for the unbeliever. The true Church is composed of all who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and united in the body of which Christ is the head. Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper are ordinances for believers. Marriage is the covenant union of one man and one woman for a lifetime, and children are a blessing from the Lord.
Helping Hands: Feeding the Neighborhood
True Vision runs its food outreach under the banner of the Helping Hands Ministry. The Food Pantry at the Northeast Campus opens on the last Sunday of each month from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, distributing basic food essentials to anyone in need on a first-come, first-served basis. A separate monthly Food Give Away happens on the second Wednesday of each month from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at the same campus, with a variety of free food items available to neighbors across the community.
Notes of Hope and Other Community Touches
Notes of Hope is a recurring outreach in which volunteers gather at the Lackland Campus on a Saturday morning to handwrite notes of hope, kindness, and encouragement for residents of a local senior home. The church also runs voter registration drives at both campuses in the weeks before major elections, with information available through the Connection Center. Periodically, the church family travels together to partner congregations, joining other Baptist bodies in citywide events.
Marriage Preparation and Enrichment
Couples at any stage of relationship can enroll in True Vision's 10-hour Marriage & Family Education course called Before and Beyond "I Do." Designed for those who are engaged, considering marriage, or already married, the course covers communication, expectations, conflict resolution, finances, and the roles and responsibilities of husband and wife, giving couples practical tools to build a healthy, Christ-centered marriage. The church schedules regular cohorts at the Northeast Campus.
Music and Choirs
Music holds a central place at True Vision. The Men's Ensemble rehearses at 8:00 PM on selected evenings at the Northeast Campus and ministers at services such as the Veterans Sunday Observance, where the church honors veterans through song. A Teen & Young Adult Choir gathers its own roster, with a parent meeting at the start of each season to discuss expectations, schedules, and communication. The music ministry is celebrated each year at the TVC Annual Music Appreciation service, where musicians, singers, and supporters are honored for their service.
Youth and the Next Generation
True Vision makes space for students through recurring youth activities. Hot Wings and Hot Topics is a teen-friendly evening held in Trinity Hall at the Northeast Campus, where students enjoy food and then step up to a mic to ask questions of a panel about real-life issues. The church also runs a Youth Take Back emphasis and offers teacher training for adults who feel called to disciple the next generation.
Becoming a Member: First Connect
Visitors who decide to put down roots at True Vision are welcomed through First Connect, the church's New Member Orientation. Held periodically at the Northeast Campus, First Connect walks newcomers through what membership means and how to plug into the body. New members are announced and celebrated in the church family.
Staying Connected Between Sundays
Beyond livestreams and sermons on demand, the church stays in touch through social media on Facebook, Instagram, and X, and through an email newsletter called VisionBlast that goes out with the latest updates and events. The church calendar includes midweek Bible studies, with the Lackland Campus Bible Study resuming after summer break each year, and a downloadable Bible Study Handout for personal or group study. Giving can be done online, and the home page links to resources for scheduling baptisms, baby dedications, weddings, and inquiries about facility use.
