Trinity Lighthouse Church sits along Spur 503 on the south side of Denison, Texas, where it has served the Texomaland region since 1975. The church was founded by Pastor Raymond England, who shaped its culture around a simple vision: a multi-cultural church that "looked like heaven," where every age and background is welcomed and valued. After more than four decades of pastoral leadership, the congregation passed the baton to a new lead pastor in late 2025, while Pastor Raymond and his wife Liz continue to serve through counseling, hospital visits, and officiating.
Sunday Mornings: Two Services and Sunday School in Between
Worship services are held on Sundays at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the TLC Sanctuary, with Sunday School running between them from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for every age group. Adult classes meet in the Gym (Overcomer's), Room 106 (Revived Hearts), and Room 110 (Fellowship of Friends), while children and students have their own graded rooms: Cradle Class in Room 103, Primary Class in Room 104, Middle Jr Class in Room 105, and a Teen's Class upstairs. The building also includes a coffee bar and the Taste & See Cafe, where visitors can grab a drink and something to eat before or after services.
First-time guests are invited to come as they are. The Connect Card lets visitors share a name, address, and any questions ahead of time so the team can be ready to greet them. A nursery is available during Sunday services, and the whole service is livestreamed on YouTube for those who want to follow along from home.
Wednesday Nights for the Whole Family
Every Wednesday at 7 p.m., Trinity Lighthouse Church hosts a midweek service designed for the whole family. Adults gather in the Sanctuary for worship and a message, while students head to the Upper Room with TLC Youth and younger children join TLC Kids in their own age-appropriate environments. Childcare is available for the youngest children, giving parents a chance to focus on the service. The Wednesday prayer gathering, Power in Prayer, also meets at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary, and Marriage Basic Training meets at 7 p.m. in Room 106 on the last two Wednesdays of each month.
A New Generation of Pastoral Leadership
In December 2025, the church elected Pastor Dustin Jett as its new Lead Pastor. A fourth-generation Assemblies of God ordained minister and Nelson University graduate, Pastor Dustin served for ten years as an Associate Pastor and Worship Pastor before stepping into the lead role. He and his wife Samantha share a vision for generational ministry that honors the legacy of those who came before while investing in the next generation of believers. The Jetts, originally from south Louisiana, have four children of their own.
The pastoral team also includes Pastor Joshua and Brittany Williams (TLC Youth), Pastor Tabitha and Thomas Rushing (TLC Kids), Pastor Aaron and Cassie Thomas (TLC Worship), and Joel and Kari Karr (Media Directors). Pastor Raymond England remains active in the church through counseling, hospital visitation, and officiating weddings and funerals. The deacon board includes Jason and Amy Busbey, Jim and Jodi Crawley, Steve and Lavon Jacobs, Stan and Staria Perry, David and Samantha Cirkles, and Scottie and Sarah Moody.
The Beliefs of Trinity Lighthouse Church
Trinity Lighthouse Church holds to the classic sixteen-point Statement of Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God. The church teaches that the Old and New Testaments are the verbally inspired, infallible Word of God; that the one true God has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior whose shed blood is the only hope of redemption; and that humanity, created good, fell through voluntary transgression and now stands in need of salvation.
The ordinances of the church are water baptism by immersion and Holy Communion, observed regularly until Christ's return. The church also teaches that all believers should seek and expect the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues, and that divine healing is provided for in the atonement. The statement of beliefs also affirms sanctification, the Church and its mission, the Blessed Hope of Christ's return, the Millennial Reign of Christ, the Final Judgment, and the New Heavens and New Earth.
The church's vision statement puts it this way: to be a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled family that honors God's Word, passionately supports missions, builds up the next generation, and offers hope, healing, and transformation to the community through the Gospel, with a heart for the people of Texomaland and beyond.
TLC Kids: Nursery Through Sixth Grade
TLC Kids serves children from birth through sixth grade across three environments. The Nursery, led by Mary, welcomes infants in a clean and nurturing space where volunteers pray over the children and begin introducing them to who God is. Junior Kids, led by Savannah, is for three-year-olds through Pre-K and uses creative lessons, songs, and hands-on activities to teach about Jesus' love. Kids Church, led by Pastor Tabitha, is for kindergarten through sixth grade and includes Bible lessons, interactive games, engaging worship songs, and small group time.
The kids' check-in system uses unique code tags for every child, and only the adult holding the matching tag can pick them up. All volunteers are background-checked, and no adult volunteer is ever alone with a child. If a child needs a parent during the service, the parent receives a text message. The church also offers baby dedications (rather than infant baptism) and a monthly Baptism Class at 10:15 a.m. on the second Sunday in Pastor Dustin's office for kids who have accepted Christ and want to be water baptized.
TLC Youth: A Place Called the Upper Room
TLC Youth is the student ministry for seventh through twelfth graders, meeting weekly in the Upper Room on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The goal of the ministry, led by Pastors Joshua and Brittany Williams, is to create a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment where students can encounter God, build real friendships, and grow in their faith. Each gathering includes worship, a relevant message, and small group connection time.
The Upper Room also serves as a launch pad for summer camp, back-to-school events, and other seasonal activities throughout the year. Students can stay connected with the ministry through its Facebook page and email.
Men, Women, and Marriage Community Groups
Community groups are the heartbeat of connection at Trinity Lighthouse Church. The TLC Men's Ministry meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Room 106 for food, fellowship, and Biblical encouragement, with childcare provided. Jamie McCroy leads the group. The Women of Purpose ministry, led by Deena Steen, meets the same night at 6:30 p.m. in the TLC Gym, also with childcare. A weekly Women's Bible Study gathers on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. in Room 106 for ladies who want to dig deeper into Scripture.
Married couples have several options. Marriage Basic Training, led by Stan and Staria Perry, meets at 7 p.m. on the last two Wednesdays of the month in Room 106, with childcare provided. Dynamic Duos, led by Jackie and Tiffany Kemp, is a date-night ministry for couples that builds friendships with other Christian couples. F.O.C.A.S., led by Frenzetta Speed, brings together adult singles of all ages on the fourth Friday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Taste & See Cafe. Story Builders, led by Carl and Sunny Raschke, gathers adults on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in Room 105.
Prayer, Care, and Counseling
The TLC Care Ministry supports people through every kind of season: depression, addiction, divorce, grief, special-needs parenting, and more. A dedicated Prayer Ministry handles prayer requests. The Hospital Care team visits and prays with members who are hospitalized. The Support, Recovery, and Counseling ministry offers biblical counseling and referrals for those who need extra help. The Funeral Ministry helps families navigate end-of-life services, provides a family lunch after the funeral, and streams the service through the TLC Funeral Ministry YouTube channel. Weddings and event requests are coordinated through the church office and are reserved for TLC members.
Finding a Place to Serve
Eight serve teams keep the ministry running week to week. The Welcome and Hospitality team staffs greeters, ushers, the Welcome Center, guest services, and the Taste & See Cafe. The TLC Kids team includes classroom leaders, check-in, nursery care, and kids worship, and requires a background check. TLC Youth has openings on its hospitality, food, set-up, clean-up, and prayer teams, also with a background check requirement. Adult Ministries welcomes volunteers for men's, women's, community group, and marriage ministry. The Media Team runs slides, livestream, cameras, and lighting. The Worship Team, which requires an audition, includes musicians and vocalists. The Safety Team handles building monitoring, parking, and emergency response, and the Prayer Team covers prayer requests, altar ministry, and intercessory prayer. Anyone interested can fill out a serve form and a team member will follow up.
The Building and the Bequest
The Trinity Lighthouse Church campus on Spur 503 has grown to include a Sanctuary, a Gym that doubles as a gathering and fellowship space, a nursery and toddler wing, dedicated Kids and Youth rooms, Rooms 105 and 106 for small groups and Bible studies, a kitchen, a coffee bar, the Taste & See Cafe, and a pavilion and playground outside. An Event Request Form lets ministry groups and members reserve rooms for their gatherings, with the rule that, except for regularly scheduled monthly ministry groups, no activities are held after 5 p.m. on Saturdays so the building is ready for Sunday.
What has not changed since 1975 is the heart of the church. Pastor Raymond and Brenda England spent more than forty-nine years building a congregation where every age and background is welcomed and valued. After Brenda's passing in May 2021 and Raymond's marriage to Liz in 2025, the church body elected Pastor Dustin Jett to carry the work forward. The next chapter at Trinity Lighthouse Church is already underway, written in the same Pentecostal stream that has anchored the church since its founding.
