In Joliet, just south of Chicago, Redeem Enrichment Ministries is a family church with a global vision, known for putting Faith, Family and Fellowship first. The church welcomes individuals of all walks of life who seek to discover Jesus Christ and His all-encompassing love and salvation. Its work reaches through worship, biblical study, conferences, educational workshops, fellowship, and ministries designed for adults and children.
A Legacy Rooted in Christ and Community
Redeem was founded by the late Elder L.C. Dorris, who planted the seeds of Christ, community and commitment that still shape the church. Those roots have grown into a ministry known as a pillar of the community and a place of help, hope and healing. Under the leadership of Bishop Eugene Fears Jr., Redeem has continued to expand ministries to reach more people and families with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. The emphasis remains on strengthening the local church while caring for the community around it.
Worship With Purpose
Redeem's worship services are spirit-filled and life-changing. People can worship live through Redeem TV, allowing the church to offer that experience beyond its Rowell Avenue location. The church's mission is to demonstrate God's love for the world by winning souls for the Kingdom of God, strengthening and perfecting members of the local church, and ministering to the needs of its church community at large as God directs. Redeem grounds this mission in Mark 16:15: "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." Its mission statement, Kingdom Driven, Family Focused, and Life Enrichment, summarizes both its evangelistic purpose and its commitment to family and educational growth.
Learning, Fellowship and Family
Redeem's ministries create several ways to learn and belong. Biblical study sessions support time with Scripture, while empowering conferences and educational workshops provide additional settings for learning and growth. Fellowship opportunities give adults and children space to build relationships together. The wider ministry includes loving action, information sharing, welcoming smiles, kind words and direction for life. In practical terms, love is expressed through Gospel-spreading outreach and support for people and families, all within a family-centered setting.
Redeem includes children among the people served by its ministries, which are intended to be engaging and enriching for adults and children. Fellowship opportunities give families room to spend time together and build relationships. This range of activities supports the church's Kingdom Driven, Family Focused, and Life Enrichment mission in both worship and everyday life.
Ministry Beyond the Church Building
Redeem has a heart for God and His people, with a mission to spread the Gospel with love while ministering to the needs of the community at large. Giving supports Gospel-centered outreach and the continuing work of spreading the Gospel through the community. The church is based at 1040 Rowell Avenue, Joliet, IL 60433. Its contact phone is (815) 722-4308, and its email is INFO@REDEEMCOGIC.COM.
