In Paradise, California, Paradise Alliance Church is known for following Jesus in every part of life. The congregation at 6491 Clark Road holds Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m., and its shared life is organized around three commitments: intentional formation, authentic community, and active mission.
Sunday Worship for a First Visit
Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. A first Sunday includes friendly children's check-in, practical teaching, and genuine community. Paradise Alliance Church is more than a service people attend: it is a community being formed by Jesus, growing together, and learning to live with faith and purpose wherever God has placed them.
Families can plan a first visit before arriving. Messages and additional teaching can be watched and listened to through the church's YouTube channel.
A Shared Life Built Around Following Jesus
Its mission is to equip followers of Jesus to live as faithful witnesses in every part of life through intentional formation, authentic community, and active mission. The church pursues Jesus above all else and organizes its life around five commitments:
- Pursue Jesus. The church seeks to know, trust, and follow Jesus more deeply, placing him at the center of its identity and life.
- Engage, not just attend. People are encouraged to participate actively in worship, community, service, and the life of the church.
- Belong in community. Spiritual growth is expected in real relationships where people are known, supported, encouraged, and challenged.
- Equip for mission. The church prepares and empowers people to live out their faith and represent Jesus where God has placed and called them.
- Deepen roots. The church aims to go deeper in Christ while helping others grow and walking alongside them.
The same themes form the church's shared DNA. Authentic people bring their real lives before Jesus and allow his truth to form them. Growing deeper happens through Scripture, prayer, and relationships. Going further takes shape through service, compassion, generosity, and mission in Paradise and beyond. Paradise Alliance Church is part of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, a global family of churches committed to Jesus and his mission.
What Paradise Alliance Church Teaches
Paradise Alliance Church confesses one God existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is affirmed as both God and human: he was born of the Virgin Mary, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for the unjust, rose again, serves as great High Priest, and will return to establish his kingdom, righteousness, and peace. The church holds that the Old and New Testaments are inerrant as originally given, verbally inspired by God, complete in revealing God's will, and the divine rule of Christian faith and practice.
Salvation is grounded in Christ's atoning work: those who repent and believe are born again through the Holy Spirit, receive eternal life, and become children of God. The church also teaches sanctification as both a crisis and a progressive process of separation from sin and dedication to God's will, with power for holy living and effective service. It holds that the church is a body of believers joined for worship, edification through the Word, prayer, fellowship, gospel proclamation, and observance of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Paradise Alliance Church also affirms bodily resurrection, prayer for the sick and anointing with oil, and a personal, visible, pre-millennial return of Christ.
Children Begin at 9:45 A.M.
Kid Ministries check-in begins at 9:45 a.m. in the North Courtyard. Families enter through the glass double doors of the Kids Lobby, where a volunteer greets them and helps them get started. Babies ages 0 to 1 and children ages 2 to 5 are separated into different classrooms in the Kids Lobby building, while elementary drop-off and pickup happen in the gym next door.
The check-in process places safety first. Every child must be checked in and out by an adult. Each child receives a name label with parent contact information, allergy information, and a unique code valid only for that morning. The parent receives a matching security tag. Children remain in their assigned rooms, and an adult with the matching tag is required for checkout. Parents may collect their children early by presenting the tag. Sunday programming typically runs until 11:05 a.m. after the 9:45 check-in.
Volunteers receive training, and Kid Ministries conducts background checks and screenings. It also follows AB-506 requirements for background checks and mandated-reporter training for adult volunteers. The ministry uses interactive Bible lessons, crafts, and application activities, while family devotionals and resources help parents continue discipleship at home during the week.
Tuesday Nights Bring Grades 6 to 12 Together
Paradise Youth meets in the church gym on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The gathering is designed to create an atmosphere where students feel connected, challenged, and purposeful in their walk with God.

Parent ministry provides resources and community for students and parents through the Paradise Youth Parents group in Church Center. On Sundays, students in Students Who Serve are invited to serve in various church ministries or worship at 10:00 a.m.
Men's, Women's, and Service Ministry
Men's and women's ministries are part of Paradise Alliance Church's congregational life alongside Kid Ministries and Paradise Youth. The church's active-mission emphasis reaches beyond attendance through service, compassion, generosity, and mission in Paradise and beyond, and giving is available online. Service roles include helping with youth check-in, chaperoning youth events, setting up and tearing down youth gatherings, driving students, and leading a youth small group.
Accountability After Harm
An independent investigation into past leadership, initiated by former leaders and congregants, found that harm occurred within the church community. Paradise Alliance Church acknowledges spiritual abuse, intimidation, manipulation, and mistreatment, apologizes to those who experienced these hurts, and states that trust was broken. The newly appointed elders have completed initial training and will continue ongoing development in trauma-informed principles and biblical frameworks for healthy shepherding.
The church is strengthening governance with district support, clarifying accountability and shared leadership, revising healthy hiring practices and staff oversight, reviewing and implementing recommended policies and safeguards, and investing in leadership formation marked by humility, plurality, and Christlike service. These steps are intended to move the church toward accountability, healing, peace, and renewal, anchored in the grace of Jesus Christ.
Faith Lived in Paradise and Beyond
Paradise Alliance Church's shared purpose is straightforward: bring real lives before Jesus, grow through Scripture, prayer, and relationships, and carry faith into service, compassion, generosity, and mission. Its Sunday gathering, children's classrooms, Tuesday youth groups, men's and women's ministries, leadership formation, and commitment to healthy community life all serve that purpose. At Paradise Alliance Church, the continuing aim is to know, trust, and follow Jesus more deeply and to equip people to represent Jesus wherever God has placed them.
