Northview Christian Church, a non-denominational church that calls itself a "Grace Place," is rooted in Dothan, Alabama, where Senior Pastor and Founder Hart Ramsey first began gathering a small congregation in 1996. What started as services in the master bedroom of his home has grown into a multi-campus family of more than 5,000 members, anchored today by an 1,866-seat sanctuary inside the NCC Family Dome Complex on Dome Lane. The motto that has shaped the church since those first small gatherings remains the same: "Learn It, Live It, Teach It." Members are taught the Word and empowered to live a life of excellence as they grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Three Campuses, One Family
NCC is one church expressed in three cities, each campus reflecting a distinct personality while sharing the same mission to present "a visible demonstration of the life and love of God - first to one another, and then to our neighbors and community." The Dothan campus anchors the family in southeast Alabama at 200 Dome Lane. A second campus, NCC Safe Harbor, opened in Montgomery in June 2005 at 500 Eastdale Loop and is affectionately called Pastor Ramsey's "Wild Child." The youngest expression, NCC Communion City, was launched in September 2015 in Atlanta at 931 Monroe Drive NE, offering a contemporary acoustic worship style in a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. Each campus describes itself as a Grace Place and a safe place where the life of Jesus is experienced through the love and service of everyone from the parking lot to the pulpit.
Worship & The Word
Sunday services across NCC are called "Worship & The Word" and are built around what the church calls a "strong and glorious celebration of the presence of God" paired with anointed teaching and preaching that equips the body. The Dothan campus gathers for Worship & The Word on Sundays at 10:30 AM CST. In Montgomery, the Safe Harbor campus meets Sundays at 9:00 AM CST. NCC Communion City in Atlanta offers a different rhythm, meeting Saturdays at 10:30 AM EST for contemporary acoustic worship and the teaching of the Word. Pastor Ramsey teaches that as members practice and pursue the principles learned in worship, they qualify themselves to function as "life-giving role models (lighthouses) to our generation."
Bible Experience Midweek
Midweek, NCC hosts its "Bible Experience" at the campuses where it is offered. In Dothan, the gathering takes place Wednesdays at 6:30 PM CST. At Safe Harbor, the Bible Experience meets Thursdays at 6:30 PM CST, and the campus also hosts its M2 Youth Group on Thursdays at 7:00 PM CST. These midweek nights are designed for prayer, Bible teaching, and community outside the Sunday rhythm, and they are a key touchpoint for newer attendees exploring membership.
Kids On Course, M2 Youth, and Young Adult Culture
Children, students, and young adults each have their own space at NCC. Kids On Course is the church's creative, colorful children's ministry for ages 12 and under, and it operates on each of the three campuses alongside a Kids Choir. M2 Youth, offered at the Safe Harbor campus, is described as "insightful, to the point, and powerful" youth ministry. Young Adult Culture, known as YAC, gathers adults ages 18 to 35, single or married, around food, fellowship, fun, and spiritual enrichment in a safe, creative environment where members are doing life together as they grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Connect Groups: We're Better Together
NCC builds much of its adult community around Connect Groups, small gatherings hosted in homes, on campuses, and online. The ministry's tagline is "We're Better Together," and the church teaches that God did not intend for people to do life alone. A directory of current groups is searchable online by attributes such as location, stage of life, and interest, and prospective members can request to join with a single click. Members and regular attenders can also step up to lead a group after completing the New Member's Class and Connect Group Training, with a downloadable Leader Resource Guide available to help prepare for each semester. Prayer Pods, smaller gatherings committed to praying for one another and for the church, are a distinct track within the broader Connect Groups family.
What We Believe
NCC holds to a classic evangelical statement of faith. The church teaches that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, error-free Word of God in the original writings and the final authority for Christian faith and life. There is one God, infinitely perfect and existing eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of the virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit, crucified as the complete and final sacrifice for sin, bodily raised, ascended to heaven, and now seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High as High Priest and Advocate. The Holy Spirit's ministry is to glorify Christ, convict of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. Salvation comes only through faith in the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus, and only those who receive Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God. The church expects the personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of Jesus Christ; a bodily resurrection of all the dead, to everlasting blessedness for believers and judgment for unbelievers; and final, conscious punishment for those who do not believe. Water baptism by immersion, observed soon after accepting Christ, is taught as a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to new life, and the Lord's Supper is celebrated as a memorial of Christ's death, shared by true believers.
Serve on a Vocational Team
NCC regularly invites members to put their "Nerve to Serve" to work on one of more than a dozen vocational teams. Across the campuses these include Ushers, Greeters, Porters, Helping Hands, Hospitality, First Response, Bistro, Audio / Video, Graphic Design, the On Course Bookstore, Theater & Dance, Music Ministry, Kids Choir, Kids On Course, the Understanding Booth, and Grounds Crew. Joining a team is one of the main paths for getting connected after arriving on a campus and an early step toward formal membership.
Livestream, Messages, and Online Giving
Worship & The Word services are livestreamed on YouTube, with archives of recent messages available on the same channel for anyone who wants to catch up or share a sermon. Giving is available online through Pushpay. NCC keeps an active presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and a calendar of upcoming events is posted through the church's events page. Membership registration at each of the three campuses is handled online through the church's membership software, with separate forms for Dothan, Safe Harbor, and Communion City.
