Living Word Fellowship Church gathers on California Drive in Caseyville, just east of the St. Louis metro area in St. Clair County, with a stated mandate to bring Heaven to Earth. The congregation describes itself as a community of believers passionate about the things of God, with a culture shaped by worship, the presence of God, revival, miracles and healings, and a culture of honor.
A Church Mandate Built on the Presence of God
The church's core statement is short and direct: the goal is to bring Heaven to Earth. At the center of every gathering is a pursuit of God's presence and His manifested glory, a place where hearts are transformed and people are launched into their destinies. The congregation teaches that worship is where God inhabits, changes, and delivers lives, and that hearts are made soft and pliable to the will of God in those moments.
That conviction shapes everything else. The pastoral team frames the church's culture around worship, family, and honor, and it flows out into the surrounding communities through outreach and service. As the leadership puts it, the dream is for every person to be connected to God and to His body through the sacrifice of Jesus, resulting in wholeness of spirit, soul, and body and the expansion of His kingdom within St. Clair County.
The Weekly Rhythm: Sunday and Wednesday
Living Word Fellowship runs two anchored rhythms each week. Sunday School meets from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., followed by the main Sunday Service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. First-time visitors are welcomed into a gathering that the pastors describe as passionate seekers of the manifested presence of God's glory.
Wednesday nights are a second pillar of the week. Intercessory Prayer runs from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Bible Study follows from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Together these evenings give the church a built-in pattern of worship on one day and prayer and teaching on another.
Worship, the Word, and a Music Ministry That Leads the Way
The Music Ministry at Living Word Fellowship is treated as a foundational piece of the church, not an accessory. Pastors and leaders teach that leading worship begins with cultivating a life of worship, and that the team exists to set the atmosphere for the Word to be received and activated. The Music ministry is open to musicians and singers who want to serve, with a focus on creating space for God to move during services.
Men of Honor
The men's ministry, called Men of Honor, is built around the idea that men make a significance in the world when they connect and do life together. The ministry creates space for regular gatherings, events, and activity groups, with the goal of sharpening one another, experiencing God's presence, and walking in love every day.
Women of Virtue
The women's ministry, Women of Virtue, is designed as a safe place for women to connect on a deeper level. Members study the Word together, pray with each other, laugh, process hard questions, encourage one another, and sometimes cry together. The ministry is intentionally relational, celebrating in the ups and standing with one another in the downs.
Kidz Church
The Kidz Church Ministry desires children to encounter God, His works, and develop healthy lifestyles and relationships. Each week, kids spend time in worship, share and hear testimonies, and learn to pay attention to what the Lord is doing around them, so that encountering the presence of God becomes a regular part of their spiritual life.
Connect, Grow, and Serve
The pastoral team groups the church's life around three movements: Connect, Grow, and Serve. Connect is about building relationships inside the church family. Grow is about becoming more like Christ through study and community. Serve is about investing strength into the body and into St. Clair County through practical acts of love, healing the sick, bringing deliverance, and preaching the message of salvation through faith in Jesus.
Meet the Pastoral Team
The church is led by a team of pastors and ministry directors. Lamarce Tart serves as Lead Pastor, and his wife, Yvette Tart, serves as Co-Pastor and Director of Women's Ministry. Lamarce M Tart also serves as Worship Arts Leader. Two Associate Pastors round out the preaching team: Glenn Fenton and Johnnie Cowley. Yvonne Watkins serves as Senior Outreach Leader, helping to steward the church's heart for its city and its world.
