A Non-Denominational Family on Highway 46 in Seguin
Living Waters Church sits along North State Highway 46 on the north side of Seguin, Texas, and has been a steady presence in the community since 1995. The church describes itself as non-denominational, Bible-based, and life-giving, and it carries a vision summed up in a single sentence: leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
That vision is lived out through three core rhythms. Living Waters gathers each week for worship and the teaching of God's Word, grows in community through Life Groups and discipleship opportunities, and goes - serving neighbors through local outreach and global missions.
A Pastoral Handoff in 2016
The church was founded by Ed and Paulette Bilderback, who pastored Living Waters for more than two decades before passing the role of lead pastor to their son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Brooke Mason, in 2016. Paul, a fifth-generation pastor born in Metairie, Louisiana, has served in ministry since 1998 across Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas. Brooke grew up in Oklahoma, committed her life to Christ at 14, and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos. Married in 2001, the Masons have three children - Joel, Jenna, and Liam - and consider Seguin their family's home.
Oversight for the church is shared with a Board of Elders that includes Glenn Davis of McQueeney, Joel Frederick of Seguin, Nick Jayne of Seguin, and David Lopez of La Vernia, along with a network of oversight pastors from sister congregations in Texas, Louisiana, and Brisbane, Australia.
Four Sunday Services and a First Wednesday Night
Worship on the Living Waters campus happens four times each Sunday at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:30 PM. Each service follows a similar flow - extended worship, biblical teaching, prayer, and a message from the pastoral team - and typically runs about an hour. The sanctuary is open seating, so guests can sit wherever they feel comfortable.
On the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM, the church gathers for a First Wednesday service that allows for extended time in worship, prayer, and lingering in the Lord's presence. The other Wednesdays of the month belong to the students.
LW Kids and the Mighty Works Sensory Room
Children from birth through fifth grade have a place of their own at Living Waters. LW Kids runs during every Sunday service with age-appropriate Bible lessons, fun games, and interactive worship. Parents can pre-register online to speed up the first visit; subsequent check-ins use self-service kiosks. Every child and parent receives matching security tags, and reprints are available at the Kids Check-In area to the left of the lobby.
Elementary-aged kids earn tickets for the LW Kids Store - held on the last Sunday of each month - by bringing their Bible, bringing a friend, stepping up as a small group leader, or answering questions. Nursery and Preschool families are welcome to bring a labeled bag with diapers or pull-ups, a change of clothes, and bottles or food.
Tucked inside LW Kids is Mighty Works, the church's special needs ministry. Mighty Works partners with families of children with disabilities, providing a sensory room, trained volunteers, and a calm space designed to help every child encounter God's love. The same team is available during Vacation Bible Xperience week and during regular services.
LW YTH on Wednesday Nights and Sunday Mornings
Middle and high school students - sixth through twelfth grade - meet weekly at the Youth Building behind the main church. Wednesday nights begin at 6:30 PM with a pre-service hangout for dinner, games, and time with friends, followed by worship, teaching, and small-group connection from 7:00 to 8:15 PM.
On Sunday mornings, a dedicated middle school service runs during the 9:30, 11:00, and 12:30 AM services. Students worship in the main sanctuary with their families, then are dismissed to the lobby and walked to the Youth Room for a short message, small group discussion, and games. A separate chapter-by-chapter Youth Bible Study meets in the Youth Room at 8:00 AM on Sundays.
Growth Track, Life Groups, and Serving
Newcomers who want to put down roots are invited into Growth Track, a two-step next-steps pathway. Step One introduces attendees to Living Waters' history, beliefs, mission, and vision. Step Two focuses on spiritual gifts and the importance of small-group community. Childcare is provided during both sessions, and Growth Track classes meet in the front office building sanctuary.
Life Groups are the church's small-group ministry. Groups meet regularly in homes and around the community and are designed to help people connect with others and with God. Baptisms are celebrated on special Sundays throughout the year for both new believers and those recommitting their lives to Christ.
For those ready to serve, Living Waters offers Serve Teams in the Cafe, Greeter, Info Desk, Kids Ministry, Kids Check-In, Production and Technical (media, video, lighting, audio), Mighty Works special needs, Ushering, Worship (vocals and instruments), and Youth ministry.
Missions and Outreach: Going Beyond the Campus
Living Waters treats outreach as a way of being the church rather than a program. The local outreach team coordinates service projects in and around Seguin, and the church supports a roster of missionaries and mission organizations around the globe. A Missions Scholarship Fund helps people take their first mission trip.
Short-term mission trips are a regular part of the rhythm. Upcoming trips on the calendar include a week in Mexico in September and a week in Costa Rica at the end of October into early November. A waiting list is available for trips that have filled up.
Statement of Faith
Living Waters teaches that the Holy Bible alone is the authoritative Word of God - inspired, infallible, and inerrant. The church confesses the historic Christian belief in one God, eternally existent in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and affirms that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, sinless in every way, who died on the cross, was physically resurrected on the third day, ascended to the Father's right hand, and will return again in power and glory.
Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection - a gift from God, not the result of human effort. Living Waters also affirms the gifts of the Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12, the baptism in the Holy Spirit given at Pentecost, the continuing work of divine healing, and the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost. The church practices two ordinances: water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Lord's Supper, observed with bread and grape juice as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice.
Plan Your Visit: Parking, Dress, and What to Expect
The church is located at 3325 N. State Highway 46 in Seguin. The main parking lot fills quickly, but a parking team is on hand to direct guests to available spots and to offer shuttle service to the front doors when needed. Visitors are encouraged to arrive about fifteen minutes before their chosen service - 7:45 AM for the 8:00 AM gathering, 9:15 AM for the 9:30 AM gathering, 10:45 AM for the 11:00 AM gathering, and 12:15 PM for the 12:30 PM gathering - for the easiest parking and seating.
Inside the main lobby, guests find the Cafe, restrooms, the Info Desk, the Kids Check-In area, and the entrance to the main sanctuary. Ushers stationed throughout the worship center help people locate available seating, and the dress code is simple: come as you are. People attend in everything from suits to casual wear. Services are livestreamed on the church's YouTube channel for those who cannot attend in person.
There Is More and Heart for the House
Living Waters has launched a three-year capital initiative called There Is More, designed to fund a sweeping set of facility improvements. Plans include a 1,000-plus-seat auditorium with updated audio, video, and lighting; more than 500 parking spaces with covered drop-off areas; new and renovated kids classrooms with a centralized secure check-in; new special needs rooms; a renovated multi-purpose sanctuary for youth; an updated exterior facade; additional restrooms; a 200-seat volunteer room; an outdoor baptistery and patio; a new commons and cafe with secure corridors; and outdoor green spaces with flex rooms for special events.
Each fall, the Heart for the House initiative celebrates what God has done through the church and invites members to give toward pressing facility needs. Past improvements have included expanded parking, renovated kids spaces, additional kids classrooms, and updates to the Overflow Room that welcomes new visitors.
LW MDO: A Preschool That Meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Living Waters also operates LW MDO, a Mother's Day Out program for children ages one through four. Classes are determined by the child's age as of September 1, and the school year runs from August through May. LW MDO meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and blends Christ-centered learning with free and structured play, Bible stories, music, art, crafts, finger plays, and games. The program is currently full, with a waitlist available for interested families.
Member Care and the Road Ahead
Living Waters walks alongside members through every stage of life. The Member Care team provides hospital visits, funeral support, biblical counseling, benevolence assistance, baby dedications, baptism registration, and wedding ceremonies for members using the church facilities. The facilities can also be rented for outside events, and a counseling referral network is available when professional support is needed.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The phone number is 830-303-7515, and general inquiries can be sent to info@livingwaterstx.com.
