King's Chapel O'ahu is the O'ahu arm of King's Cathedral & Chapels, a Pentecostal network headquartered on Maui that now connects more than four hundred congregations worldwide. From its flagship campus on Kalanianaole Highway in the Niu Valley neighborhood of Honolulu, the church has grown into a four-campus fellowship that reaches from windward Kaneohe across the central plateau to Kapolei on the leeward coast, and into the homes of Marshallese and Slavic-speaking families who worship in their own languages.
An Extension of a Global Pentecostal Family
King's Cathedral & Chapels first put down roots on Maui, and the O'ahu campuses are listed as extensions of that work. The O'ahu fellowship takes its cues from the parent church's 16-point Statement of Fundamental Truths, a doctrinal outline centered on the verbal inspiration of Scripture, the Trinity, the deity and substitutionary work of Jesus Christ, the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues, divine healing, the imminent return of Christ, and the New Heaven and New Earth. The phrase that captures the whole mission is "Experience Life," drawn from John 10:10, and broken into three core values: People, Power, and Purpose. People means loving neighbors in personal, encouraging, and equipping ways; Power means demonstrating God's presence through prayer, worship, and a Spirit-filled life; Purpose means serving, impacting, and multiplying disciples.
Four Campuses Across the Island
The Niu Valley Center at 5740 Kalanianaole Highway is the main hub and the seat of most staff and ministries. Sundays there begin at 8:00 a.m., continue at 10:30 a.m., and close with an evening service at 6:00 p.m., with a Slavic-language gathering at 1:00 p.m. in the same building. Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. bring the Niu Valley family back together for worship and a verse-by-verse walk through the book of Luke.
On the leeward side, West O'ahu meets at 2045 Lauwiliwili Street, Unit 603, in Kapolei, with three Sunday services at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 12:00 p.m., followed by a Marshallese-language service at 4:00 p.m. The Mililani campus, just across the H-2 freeway at 130 Mango Street in Wahiawa, gathers for one Sunday morning service at 10:00 a.m. The Windward campus at 47-314B Ahaolelo Road in Kaneohe meets at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. Each campus is led by a husband-and-wife team who act as directors: Andrew and Jessa Pearson at Niu Valley, Wes and Kahi Lizama at West O'ahu, Mark and Char Sagapolutele at Mililani, and Dan and Sallie Siangco at Windward.
Marshallese and Slavic Ministries
Two ethnic congregations share space with the English-language services. The Slavic ministry, led by Pastor Serge Bondar with Minister Gulya Dzhuraeva, meets at 1:00 p.m. on Sundays at the Niu Valley campus. The Marshallese congregation gathers at 4:00 p.m. on Sundays at the West O'ahu campus in Kapolei. Together they reflect the broader vision of King's Cathedral & Chapels, which describes itself as a fellowship that serves a variety of ethnic communities and longs to see every nation and tongue come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
What a Sunday at Niu Valley Looks Like
First-time guests are met in the parking lot by a friendly parking team. Flashing your hazard lights signals that it is your first visit and directs you to reserved stalls near the front entrance. Inside, a Welcome Packet includes a Connect Card that can be turned in for a free specialty drink at King's Cafe, the in-house coffee shop that also serves teas and gourmet meals before and after services. Parents with children in fifth grade or younger are checked in to King's Kids, the children's ministry offering age-appropriate Bible classes during both the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Middle-schoolers can head to the Youth Room for King's Youth Jr. High, which runs alongside the same morning services. At 9:30 a.m., newcomers can join Discover Track in the Prayer Room for an interactive class that introduces the church's story, beliefs, and opportunities to serve. The morning's main service combines dynamic praise and worship, corporate prayer, and a gospel-centered message intended to encourage and equip for the week ahead.
Deeper Wednesdays
Midweek ministry at Niu Valley is built around what the church calls "Deeper Wednesdays." Doors open early for Real Life Seminars at 6:00 p.m., a rotating lineup of adult elective classes on topics such as marriage, leadership, business, grief, hearing God's voice, and freedom and wholeness. At the same time, King's Kids fills the children's wing from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with worship, singing, Bible lessons, and games for children through fifth grade, with the nursery opening at 6:50 p.m. King's Youth kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with pre-service games before moving into a 7:00 p.m. service tailored to middle and high schoolers. Adult Life Groups meet at 6:00 p.m. for prayer and Bible study, and a Transformation ministry offers support for those working through life struggles. At 7:00 p.m., the whole campus converges for a time of worship followed by a verse-by-verse study of the book of Luke.
Discipleship: Discover Track, Life Groups, and Teams
King's Chapel O'ahu lays out a clear path from first visit to full involvement. Discover Track is a four-week series of interactive classes held at 9:30 a.m. on the first four Sundays of each month, with topics rotating through the church's story, its passion, the believer's purpose, and each person's potential. Anyone can jump in at any time and attend in any order. Life Groups are the long-standing small-group ministry of the church, meeting every day of the week in various parts of O'ahu, designed for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. Separate Men's and Women's Life Groups are coordinated by Pastor Kenric Odani and Minister Jen Joaquin, respectively. The Dream Team is the umbrella for every volunteer team in the church: Creative (Worship, Audio/Visual Production, Performing Arts, Creative Media), Experience (Greeters, Parking, Ushers, Hospitality), Generations (Children, Youth, Young Adults, Seniors), Community (Outreach, Social Services, Community Partnerships), Next Steps, and Administration (Front Desk, Facilities, King's Cafe).
Children, Youth, and the Generations Team
The Generations Team oversees age-specific ministry for every stage of life. Minister Gabe Nelson directs King's Youth, while Minister Jet Nelson directs the elementary wing and the Performing Arts track. Kerry Anduha and Stephanie Camacho serve on the Mililani and Windward campus teams, respectively. On Sundays, King's Kids and King's Youth Jr. High run alongside the main services; on Wednesdays, both programs extend into the evening, making midweek a full-family event.
Reaching Beyond the Walls
The Community Team, led by Minister Rick Fern (Outreach Events), Minister Tony Calvan (Evangelism, Transformation Ministry, and Food and Beverage), and Minister Margaret Teng (Community Partnerships), is the bridge between the church and the surrounding neighborhoods. The flagship community initiative is a monthly Food Distribution held at the Niu Valley campus from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Anyone in need of groceries can stop by; those who want to donate can give online or contact the Community Team directly. The Community Team coordinates volunteers for outreach events and partners with other organizations across the island.
Worship and the Creative Arts
Worship at King's Chapel O'ahu is led by a Creative Team that includes a director of worship, a director of performing arts, a director of video, a director of media, broadcast and sound engineers, and social media coordinators. Music is recorded and released under the King's Collective banner, and a weekly sermon podcast is available on Spotify. Books by Dr. James Marocco, the senior leader of King's Cathedral & Chapels, are linked from the media page.
An Online Experience
For those who cannot attend in person, the church maintains an Online Experience that streams Sunday services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and the Wednesday night service at 7:00 p.m. Online attendees can join a virtual Life Group, submit prayer requests, give through PushPay, and follow sermon series on the church's YouTube channel. Mid-morning online Bible studies and an interactive connect card round out the digital front door.
Corporate Prayer and Pastoral Support
The church gathers online for Corporate Prayer each weekday morning at 6:00 a.m., praying for the nation, the community, the church, and individual needs. Anyone can join via Zoom, and prayer requests can be submitted through the church's online form at any time.
Giving and the Kingdom Builder Vision
Tithes, offerings, and gifts to specific ministries can be made online through PushPay. Each campus and congregation - including the Marshallese and Slavic ministries - has its own giving page, and contributors can designate their gift to Niu Valley, West, Windward, Mililani, or the Marshallese or Slavic ministries. The act of giving is rooted in Romans 12:6-8 and is described as a way of participating in building the kingdom of God through supernatural generosity.
Sixteen Fundamental Truths
The Statement of Fundamental Truths undergirds the entire fellowship: the verbal inspiration of Scripture; the one true God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the full deity of Jesus Christ, including His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and exaltation; the fall of man and the corruption of human nature; salvation through repentance, faith, regeneration, and the renewing of the Holy Spirit; water baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper; the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a distinct, subsequent experience with the initial physical sign of speaking in tongues; sanctification as a life of holiness; the Church as the Body of Christ; a Spirit-ordained ministry of evangelism and edification; divine healing as part of the atonement; the imminent rapture of the saints; the millennial reign of Christ; the final judgment; and the promise of a New Heaven and a New Earth. The Statement also articulates the church's biblical view of marriage, sexuality, and the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death, and holds all employees and formal members to those standards.
A Place to Belie and to Belong
Whether someone arrives as a curious first-time guest, a new follower of Jesus, or a long-time believer looking for community, King's Chapel O'ahu offers an organized path forward: a Sunday service, a Connect Card, Discover Track, a Life Group, a Dream Team, water baptism, and - for those who feel called - training through the King's School of Ministry on Maui. With four campuses, three worship traditions, an active food pantry, a children's ministry that runs both mornings and evenings, and an online experience that reaches beyond the island, the O'ahu fellowship has become one of the most visible expressions of King's Cathedral & Chapels' vision that the abundant life of John 10:10 is meant to be experienced with people, in power, and for purpose.
