Two Services a Week on Lomita Boulevard
Integrity Christian Center gathers in a suite at 3555 Lomita Boulevard in Torrance, California, a quiet stretch on the south end of Los Angeles County where suburban streets give way to small storefront ministries and long-standing family congregations. The church holds two weekly worship services - Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. and Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. - both streamed live online so that members who are traveling or unwell can still join the room. The music blends today's uplifting contemporary songs with the anointed hymns of past generations, and the teaching focuses on identity in Christ, covenant living, and practical faith for everyday life.
Pastor Kenny Gatlin describes the gathering as a place "you can come to be strengthened, refreshed, and inspired." Visitors arriving for the first time are welcomed by a family that has served the South Bay for decades, with a security team on duty and a check-in system in place for families with children.
Pastors Kenny and Brenda Gatlin
Kenny Gatlin has spent more than forty-eight years in full-time ministry. He is an ordained minister through Mark Barclay Ministries in Midland, Michigan, and serves on the President's Cabinet for that organization, as well as on the board of directors of numerous ministries across the country. He is a graduate of Life Christian University, where he earned a Doctor of Ministry in Theology, and in 2024 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Sacred Music to mark a lifetime of writing, recording, and ministering Christian music. He also completed three years of study at the Supernatural Ministries Training Institute. A singer, songwriter, musician, and recording artist, he has authored ten books published by Mark Barclay Publications and Kenny Gatlin Ministries, and he travels to churches and conferences throughout the United States.
Brenda Gatlin stands alongside her husband as co-pastor. The couple married in 1980 and reside in Torrance, where each of their children and their spouses serve in ministry in various capacities. Their eighteen grandchildren are being raised in church. Together the Gatlin family sets the tone for a congregation that emphasizes multigenerational discipleship and family life.
Oasis Kids: From Infants Through Ten-Year-Olds
The children's ministry at Integrity Christian Center is called Oasis Kids. It runs in three age groups: Oasis Infants for babies six weeks to one year, Oasis Toddlers for two- and three-year-olds, and Oasis Kids for children ages four through ten. Each program teaches the Word in ways that fit the developmental stage, using games, visuals, and storytelling to make scripture come alive. The church says many people who grew up in Oasis Children's ministry continue to serve Jesus as adults, and it welcomes visiting children and grandchildren to participate.
First-time families can fill out a "Plan Your Visit" form so the team can prepare for their arrival and give them a VIP welcome. Check-in collects parent names, children's names and birthdates, address, phone, and any allergies or special instructions. Every Oasis Kids team member has passed a background check. The ministry uses a security tag system for check-in and pick-up, along with a paging system for parents and guardians in case the team needs to reach them during the worship service. The ministry also notes that it serves families whose children have special needs.
Uprising Youth: Champions for This Generation
For students, the church runs the Uprising Youth Ministry. The name and the heart of the program come from the story of David, the young shepherd who defeated Goliath - the ministry's stated goal is to "develop champions in this generation who will also conquer the giants in their own lives." Uprising meets during the weekly worship services and offers a parallel teaching track designed for teenagers navigating the same pressures David once faced, now recast as social, academic, and spiritual battles in a modern context.
Daughters of the Light: A Ministry for Women of Every Age
Women at Integrity Christian Center gather under the banner Daughters of the Light. Open to women of all ages, the ministry hosts teas, luncheons, and helpful workshops, along with preaching and worship tailored specifically to the needs of women. In recent years it has added a DOL Prayer Camp, with instruction and training in prayer, and a Mountain Getaway featuring fun activities and morning devotions by the beach. Fellowship and laughter are as central as teaching, and Daughters of the Light events often become a recurring touchstone in the life of the church.
ManMakers: Male by Birth, Man by Choice
ManMakers is the church's ministry to men, built around the conviction that being male is a matter of birth while being a man is a matter of choice. Through men's-only services and special events, ManMakers seeks to grow and develop men in their walk with Jesus, in their homes and marriages, in their careers, and as examples of biblical manhood to their own children, grandchildren, and the young people who watch their lives. The ministry gathers for breakfasts and other fellowship events at local restaurants, with morning meetings often scheduled for Saturday mornings in Torrance.
A Statement of Faith Rooted in Scripture
Integrity Christian Center holds to a written Statement of Faith that takes the Holy Scriptures as "the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice." The church teaches that God is triune - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - and that all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Faith, the church teaches, comes by hearing the Word, is exercised by believing in the heart, and opens the way to salvation, water baptism, laying on of hands, baptism of the Holy Spirit, knowledge of the Word, answered prayer, and a personal relationship as a child of God.
The Statement of Faith also affirms that God wants believers to be healthy and prosperous, that through the principle of giving and the law of sowing and reaping God's people live under an economy with God as their source. It teaches the believer's authority over the enemy - healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead, casting out devils, and preaching the gospel - and the present ministry of the Holy Spirit through the fruit and gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12 and Galatians 5. Jesus Christ is named as the Head of the Church, with apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers recognized as literal, functioning offices today. The church also looks for the literal return of Christ for His Church, eternal judgment, and the new birth as essential to entering the Kingdom of God.
The Mission: Equipping Champions for End-Time Living
The mission of Integrity Christian Center is to teach Christians who they are in Christ Jesus, how to live a victorious life within their covenant rights and privileges, and how to become vessels of honor usable in the end-time church. The congregation works toward that goal through five commitments: leading people to operate proficiently in a broad range of biblical principles; helping believers of every age become rooted and grounded in the Word; building an army of mature believers who move from milk to meat and stand firm in spiritual warfare; feeding God's sheep through Spirit-filled Bible teaching; and bringing the light of the glorious gospel to those who have not yet received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Membership, Outreach, and Online Giving
Members are formed through a five-week membership class that walks newcomers through the church's beliefs, mission, and structure, with worksheets returned at the next service. A "Next Steps" pathway leads from that class into serving on a ministry team and joining outreach efforts in the surrounding community.
Giving is offered through credit or debit card, text-to-give (text "Integrity" and the amount to 73256), PayPal, Cash App ($IntegrityToday), and Venmo (@IntegrityChristianCenter). Checks can be mailed to the Lomita Boulevard address. Tithes and offerings can be made any time, which the church considers a blessing for members who are traveling or unable to attend in person.
Sermons and the Champion Builder Podcast
Pastor Kenny Gatlin preaches regularly on faith, the believer's authority, and identity in Christ. Recent teaching series include "Understanding the Laws of the Spirit," "Heroes of Faith," "You Are the Temple of the Holy Spirit," and "Ways to Keep the Devil from Getting a Grip on You." Sermons are posted online for watching or listening and are archived back many pages on the church's media pages. The Champion Builder Podcast, hosted by Pastor Gatlin, extends the same message of spiritual champions to a wider audience through Apple Podcasts and other listening platforms.
Plan a Visit
The church sits in a single suite on Lomita Boulevard - easy to find, with a small, family feel. Two weekly services give first-time visitors plenty of room to fit Integrity Christian Center into their week: Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. for those who prefer a weekend gathering, and Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. for those who would rather start the weekend with worship. Children can join Oasis Kids during the services, students can plug into Uprising Youth, and a Plan Your Visit form is available for families who want to be welcomed in advance. For those watching from home, the Sunday and Friday services are streamed live on YouTube, and sermons are kept on the church's media pages for on-demand listening.
