Cornerstone Family Church of Fountain Hills sits at 10215 North Saguaro Boulevard in Fountain Hills, Arizona, a community that grew up alongside the church when it first opened its doors in 1972. Originally known as First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills, the congregation now goes by Cornerstone Family Church, but the address, the mission, and the people who walk through the doors each week have stayed much the same. The mission is to ignite a passion to follow Jesus, and everything from Sunday worship to Wednesday family night is built around that single goal.
Cornerstone is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing, and people-loving congregation that aims to be a place of healing for those who are wounded by the struggles of life. In a town that can feel quiet and spread out, the church aims to be a genuine family, where newcomers are known by name and where the rhythms of the week, from Sunday Bible study to Wednesday morning men's breakfast, are designed to keep people connected to one another and to Christ.
What to Expect on Sunday Morning
Sunday is the main meeting of the week at Cornerstone. Bible study for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m., and the worship service starts at 10:30 a.m. indoors. For those who cannot be there in person, the entire service is livestreamed on the church's YouTube channel. Visitors are warmly welcomed.
The worship gathering is the central moment of the week, a place to follow Jesus together as the body of Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit to reach the lost and disciple the saved (a reading from Ephesians 4 anchors that vision). Children and TeamKIDS
Children are a central part of Cornerstone's life. The Children's Ministry offers age-appropriate classes and activities for children from infants through fifth grade, with nursery care and Children's Church programs running alongside the Sunday worship service. All teachers and volunteers have submitted criminal background checks and references, and the church emphasizes a safe, secure environment where children can experience the love of Jesus through worship, Bible stories, crafts, and teacher-guided play.
On Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., TeamKIDS gathers to give kids a solid biblical foundation and a God-honoring, Christ-centered life. The same program meets again on Wednesdays beginning at 5:30 p.m., so children have two touch points each week to learn Scripture and build friendships. A Participation Form for the 2026 to 2027 year is available for parents who want to register their children.
UR2 Youth: Middle School and High School
Middle school and high school students have a ministry built just for them. Called UR2 Youth, the group meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. for Bible study. The Wednesday rhythm kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a family dinner, then transitions into youth group for both middle and high school students at 6:00 p.m.
The stated mission of the youth ministry is to introduce young people to Jesus Christ as Lord, Creator, and Savior, help them grow in their faith, and give them opportunities to love their neighbors and learn what it truly means to walk with God. Worship and Youth Leader Isaiah Tilson oversees the program alongside Pastor Jeff.
Men's Breakfast on Wednesday Mornings
One of the longest-running weekly traditions at Cornerstone is the Wednesday men's breakfast. Men gather at 7:30 a.m. for a meal prepared by the men themselves and Pastor Jeff, followed by a Bible study that runs from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. The time is built around fellowship, encouragement, and growth in God's Word.
The ministry is a place where men share victories and struggles, pray for one another, and find Christ-centered brothers to walk alongside. The men's group also supports missions and benevolence giving financially and helps with other important ministries of the church. The verses Proverbs 27:17 (Iron sharpens iron) and Ecclesiastes 4:12 (a cord of three strands is not quickly broken) frame the purpose of the gathering. All men are welcome.
Women's Ministry
Women at Cornerstone have two regular weekly touch points. On Mondays, Joyce Pigue and Judy Rohn lead a Women's Community Bible Study from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in classroom A-101, a deep dive into the scriptures. On Wednesdays, women meet for Coffee and Bible Study from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., a time of fellowship, support, and study of God's Word.
The women's ministry seeks to nurture and encourage women to know God's Word and follow faithfully after Christ, demonstrating authenticity and love, connecting with one another, and providing opportunities for service within the church and the community. A Moms in Prayer group also meets on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for parents who want to pray specifically for their children and schools.
Bible Studies Through the Week
Bible study is not a once-a-week event at Cornerstone; it is woven into the calendar almost every day. The schedule opens on Monday with the women's community Bible study at 10:00 a.m. and a Prayer for Revival gathering at noon. Tuesdays bring another Bible study at 10:00 a.m., along with the church library being open from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Wednesdays layer on the men's breakfast Bible study at 8:00 a.m., the women's coffee and Bible study in the evening, and an adult Bible study led by Pastor Jeff Campbell during the 6:00 p.m. family night.
On Sundays, the 9:00 a.m. Bible study hour covers children, youth, and adults. Cornerstone holds to 2 Timothy 3:16-17: All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
Small Groups and Discipleship
Beyond the church building, Cornerstone runs several small groups that meet in homes and around the community. Small groups give believers opportunities to learn God's Word in a relaxed setting and to get to know other believers in the area. The church currently has several small groups meeting and is planning to launch additional groups during the year.
Missions: Mexico, Africa, and Beyond
Mission work has been part of Cornerstone's identity for decades. In 2003, the church partnered with Iglesia Bautista de Empalme in Mexico, which at the time was in serious need of building space, transportation, and supplies. Through years of financial support and volunteer trips, that partnership has grown to the point where the Mexican church is now self-sufficient and has even developed its own Christian school.
The church's mission footprint also extends into Africa and supports church plants in communities desperate for hope, as well as widows and retired ministers closer to home. The missions ministry is rooted in Acts 1:8, taking the gospel from the immediate neighborhood to the ends of the earth.
The Food Closet and Local Outreach
The Food Closet is the congregation's practical response to food insecurity in the Fountain Hills area. The church has long believed that disciple-making is paired with compassion for neighbors in need, and the Food Closet is one of the most visible expressions of that calling alongside the mission work abroad.
Connect 101 and Membership
For anyone wanting to make Cornerstone their church home, the church offers a Connect 101 class. The class covers what the church believes, who the people are and how a visitor fits in, how to discover spiritual gifts, and how to share a personal testimony. It is also a place to catch the vision of Cornerstone and meet other members.
Membership itself follows a simple path: trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior, being biblically baptized by immersion, and praying about joining. Once a member, the expectation is that each person will follow Jesus as a disciple and connect with others as part of a spiritual family.
Leadership and Staff
Jeff Campbell serves as Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Family Church and is the steady teaching voice of the congregation, leading the Wednesday evening adult Bible study and overseeing the church's direction. Isaiah Tilson serves as Worship and Youth Leader, coordinating both the music ministry and the youth program. Donna De Smet handles administration, and Jody Slechta oversees finance.

Statement of Faith
Cornerstone is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing church. Its statement of faith is organized around six core doctrines: God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, salvation, and baptism. The full statement includes a confession that the church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to reach the lost and disciple the saved.
Baptism at Cornerstone is by immersion, following the biblical pattern. The church teaches that believers are to be immersed in the Bible so that they know the truth of God's Word and can apply it to their daily lives, and that disciples are made by going, baptizing, and teaching, in keeping with the Great Commission.
Worship Online and Giving
For those unable to attend in person, the Sunday 10:30 a.m. service is livestreamed on the church's YouTube channel, and video recordings of past sermons are posted in the same place. An archive of audio sermons is also available. Daily devotionals, written by Pastor Jeff from his books From a Pastor's Heart and The Life That Is Impossible To Live, are published each weekday for anyone who wants to start the morning in Scripture.
