Fervent Prayer Church anchors a corner of east Indianapolis at 10512 East 38th Street, where the entire ministry grows out of one conviction: prayer comes first. The congregation, known across the neighborhood as FPC, gathers twice a week under that banner, with a separate prayer rhythm that has become the church's spiritual heartbeat.
A Church Built on Prayer
Fervent Prayer Church exists to cultivate a culture of prayer, worship, and spiritual growth. Through consistent intercession, biblical teaching, and authentic community, the church seeks to see lives healed and restored. The church's motto, "A Church Built on Prayer," captures the same idea. The phrase "Igniting Fervent Prayer. Transforming Lives. Building Community." sums up the broader aim.
Sundays and Wednesdays
Sunday worship begins at 10 a.m. Eastern, with a second gathering taking place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Eastern. First-time guests have access to a Plan Your Visit form and turn-by-turn directions to 10512 East 38th Street. Anyone who wants prayer before arriving can request it online, and the prayer team commits to standing with each request in faith and agreement.
1st Hour Prayer
Beyond the two weekly worship services, FPC runs "1st Hour Prayer," a focused hour of intercession aimed at starting the week rooted in spiritual alignment. Anyone can submit a prayer request online at any time, and a prayer team stands with each request in faith and agreement.
Fervent Care Child Care
FPC operates Fervent Care Child Care, a faith-based early learning program rooted in the same prayer culture as the church itself. The center invests in young learners through loving guidance and kingdom-centered education, giving families in the neighborhood a faith-rooted option during the week.
JWJ Ministries
JWJ Ministries extends FPC's teaching reach beyond Sunday mornings, focusing on faith, health, and financial wisdom rooted in biblical principles. It functions as a discipleship arm of the church, calling believers to growth that touches every area of life.
What FPC Believes
The church lays out a clear doctrinal foundation. Members confess belief in the triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and in Jesus Christ as true God and true man. The Holy Spirit is a divine person, and the church teaches that it is the will of God for every believer to be filled with the Spirit. FPC also affirms divine healing as part of Christ's redemptive work, the full inspiration of Scripture, salvation through Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the personal and visible return of Christ, water baptism, and the Lord's Supper. The Fall of man and the need for salvation are part of the same confession.
Getting Connected and Giving
FPC invites newcomers to step in along three paths: join a prayer gathering, serve and volunteer in worship and outreach, or grow in faith through the Sunday service, the Wednesday gathering, and ongoing teaching and mentorship. Giving supports weekly prayer gatherings, community outreach, and ministry development. Contributions can be made online, by texting "Give" to 77977, or in person at any service. Mail is also welcome at the church office.
