Fellowship Community Church on Parker Road in Centennial, Colorado

Non-Denominational/Evangelical Church in Centennial, Colorado

Fellowship Community Church is an Evangelical Free Church of America congregation in Centennial, Colorado, gathering twice on Sunday mornings at 6263 South Parker Road with children's programs, youth ministry, Life Groups, and a blended contemporary worship style that supports missionaries around the world.

About Fellowship Community Church

Fellowship Community Church sits along South Parker Road in Centennial, Colorado, where the same worship gathering happens twice each Sunday morning at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. The church's motto, "Together we glorify God who transforms lives," is carried out through three movements: Connect with Christ, Connect in Community, Connect to Culture. It is an affiliated congregation of the Evangelical Free Church of America, an association of autonomous churches joined around a common creed. The phrase that frames the whole body is also an open invitation: "A local body that gathers in Centennial, CO who invites all generations and all cultures to share LIFE together so that all may be transformed by the power of Jesus Christ."

Sundays at Nine and Ten-Thirty

The two Sunday morning services share one format. Music, prayer, Scripture reading, a sermon, and fellowship run in the same order at both hours, and both services carry the same livestream at fcchurch.org/live for those who cannot be in the room. At 9:00 a.m. the building also opens up the full slate of formation options: nursery, preschool, and elementary rooms for FCC Kids, the FORGE youth gathering for sixth through twelfth graders, and the first Adult Bible Fellowship hour. At 10:30 a.m. the nursery, children's rooms, and a second Adult Bible Fellowship class repeat the cycle.

Music at Fellowship is best described as blended. The Worship Arts team describes itself as contemporary in style, drawing from CityAlight, Phil Wickham, Passion, Brooke Ligertwood, and Sinach, yet the band also regularly weaves in old hymns, sometimes arranged freshly and other times sung in their original setting. The stated aim is to make worship a personal collision with an awesome God, drawing strength from the past and learning to sing a new song in the Lord.

Recent teaching series include Amos: Let Justice Roll, Transformed, Summer in the Psalms, and The Perfect Prayer. Lead Pastor Rick John, Executive Pastor David Carter, and NextGen Pastor Jeff Howard rotate the pulpit. Sermon notes and a podcast are posted each week, and YouVersion notes and a study guide accompany the latest message.

FCC Kids: Birth Through Fifth Grade

The children's ministry, branded FCC Kids, is organized into three rooms that all operate during both Sunday services. The Nursery cares for infants, crawlers, and toddlers and includes an age-appropriate lesson from Scripture. Preschool welcomes three-year-olds through kindergartners for storytelling and reinforcement activities. Elementary serves first through fifth graders with biblical principles rooted in the gospel and reinforced through games and activities.

FCC Kids maintains strict teacher-to-child ratios, and every volunteer, teacher, leader, and worker is trained and screened. The check-in process prints a security sticker for each child and a matching parent receipt that must be shown before a child is released. Children must be free from fever or contagious symptoms for twenty-four hours before attending, and families are asked to flag any allergies or medical conditions ahead of time. For children with special needs, the church encourages families to reach out in advance so the team can shape a positive experience. Parents are always welcome to keep their children with them in the main service if they prefer.

AWANA on Sunday Afternoons

From September through May, AWANA clubs meet on Sunday afternoons from 3:55 to 6:00 p.m. The acronym stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, drawn from 2 Timothy 2:15. Puggles, Cubbies, Sparks, T&T, Trek, and Journey clubs cover ages three through high school, and the program pairs game time with Scripture memory and age-appropriate teaching that aims to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus and train them to serve Him.

FORGE: Youth from Sixth Through Twelfth Grade

The youth ministry is called FORGE, a name that fits both the work of shaping teenagers and the heat of friendship around the Word. FORGE meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. for teaching and on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for a free student meal, Bible study, worship, games, and small-group discussion of Scripture. During the school year, high schoolers also gather in homes on Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. for Life Group.

FORGE is led by NextGen Pastor Jeff Howard. Parents can subscribe to bi-monthly email updates or text "forge" to 1-833-746-2787 to receive two to five short messages a week with reminders and encouragements.

Adult Bible Fellowships and Life Groups

Adult formation at Fellowship is built around two complementary rhythms. Adult Bible Fellowships are mid-sized classes that meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30 in the church building, offering a smaller and more interactive setting than the worship service and going deeper into the text with discussion and prayer.

Life Groups are smaller gatherings that meet in homes throughout the week across Aurora, Parker, Centennial, and surrounding neighborhoods. Most meet over a meal, devote themselves to Scripture and the breaking of bread, and pray for one another. Active groups include the Aurora/FCC/Parker group hosted by the Grangers on the first through third Fridays, the Parker group hosted by the Swanbergs every other Sunday evening, the Aurora group hosted by the Meverdens every other Saturday evening, the Southeast Aurora group hosted by the Hormanns every other Friday, the Parker group hosted by the Chizum, Geer, and Juergens families on Sunday afternoons, the Crane couples group every other Wednesday, and several others. A Young Adults group meets in Aurora, and a separate group for senior saints gathers in Parker. Some groups provide a meal, and at least one welcomes children.

If a stage of life or a neighborhood is not yet covered, members can ask and the church will help form a new group. The Groups page on the church site lists each group's neighborhood, day, time, demographic, and whether a meal or childcare is provided.

Women Around the Word

Women's Ministry at Fellowship gathers women of all ages and stages around three connections. To connect with Christ, Women to Women Bible Studies meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., running September through November and January through May. Precept Courses follow the same Tuesday evening window and add a Wednesday morning slot from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. during the same months.

To connect in community, the ministry hosts Bunco and game nights, a book club, Coffee & Conversation gatherings, summer girls' nights out, hikes, retreats, and summer Bible studies. Women of Worth is an outreach designed for women on their own - whether single, divorced, or widowed - and meets several times a year for encouragement and friendship.

To connect to culture, the women's ministry supports EncourageHer, an Arctic Barnabas program for women serving in Alaska bush country; Thrive, which blesses women who serve abroad with retreat opportunities; Samaritan's Purse shoe box donations; and a number of local outreaches.

Men Building One Another Up

The men's ministry reads its purpose in two directions. First, men are built up as the body of Christ through fellowship, Bible study, prayer, hikes, camping, mountain biking, and a Fall Men's Retreat. A monthly Men's Breakfast is held on the second Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the church, with a hot meal, a guest speaker who challenges the men in their faith, and unhurried time around the table.

Second, the men are sent out, learning to imitate Christ in serving their families, neighborhoods, and workplaces. A regular Men's Bible Study supplements the rhythms of Life Groups for men who want a deeper weekly dose of Scripture.

Worship Arts

Worship Arts at Fellowship is the umbrella for the team that leads music each Sunday. The church is always looking for instrumentalists who can read music or chord charts in a contemporary setting and for vocalists who can hold a designated part - alto, soprano, tenor, or bass - with consistent pitch. The team rehearses weekly and supports the two Sunday services plus occasional special events. Auditions are informal and led by Worship Pastor Ed McCampbel. Shared Spotify and YouTube playlists give a sense of the church's regular repertoire.

Missions Across the Globe and Across the Street

Fellowship Community Church supports more than a dozen missionary families and individuals, both overseas and across Colorado. Jerry and Sherry Daniels are planting churches in Kenya. Art and Lois Deyo serve with Youth for Christ; Mike and Mary Dicke train pastors and lay people through The Urban Ministry Institute. Brandon and Angie Johnson serve with Youth for Christ in the Mediterranean, and Roberto and Kristin Macaluso serve in Palermo, Sicily. Vlad and Ines Panainte plant churches in Madrid with ICC Eurasia. Christian Paetsch directs TUMI of Colorado. Mike Perret-Gentil serves with Fathers in the Field, reaching fatherless boys with the gospel. Scott and Mary Petersen serve with Unto and Cru, the latter responding to global crises and caring for staff. Connie Porter serves with Child Evangelism Fellowship on Colorado's Western Slope. Bill and Diane Stewart write and teach for IMD International.

The driving text behind all of this is Matthew 28: "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Members are encouraged not only to support missionaries financially but also to invite the nations into their everyday lives and to participate in short-term mission trips.

What Fellowship Believes

Fellowship Community Church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Free Church of America. The name carries two ideas: evangelical describes the content of belief; free describes how the churches are governed, with each local body autonomous.

The Statement of Faith begins with one God, Creator of all things, existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in its original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Adam and Eve were created in God's image; through their sin, human beings became alienated from God and under His wrath, and only through Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled, and renewed.

Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. His atoning death and victorious resurrection are the only ground for salvation. The Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ, convicts the world of its guilt, regenerates sinners, baptizes them into union with Christ, adopts them as heirs in the family of God, and indwells, illuminates, guides, equips, and empowers them for Christ-like living and service.

The true church comprises all who are justified by God's grace through faith alone in Christ alone, united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The church is manifest in local congregations whose membership should be composed only of believers. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord's Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Christian living calls believers to love God supremely and others sacrificially, to care for one another, to show compassion to the poor, and to pursue justice for the oppressed, all while making disciples among all people. The church looks for the personal, bodily, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ as the blessed hope that motivates godly living, sacrificial service, and energetic mission. God will raise the dead bodily, judge the world, and assign the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth.

Loving the Neighbor: Pantry Express, OCC, Living Hope Garden

Service to neighbors in Centennial and the surrounding communities is built around three practical rhythms. Pantry Express runs on the first Sunday of even-numbered months, when the church family brings in food to bless families in need; volunteers sort and distribute the items so each family goes home with more than enough. Operation Christmas Child collects toys, school supplies, clothing, and hygiene items throughout the year and gathers in November to pack as many shoeboxes as possible; the church also helps during Collection Week by receiving boxes from the community and praying with those who drop them off. During the August and September growing season, volunteers in the Living Hope Garden plant, tend, and harvest fresh vegetables, which are then distributed through a fresh food bank open on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

Becoming a Partner and Taking Next Steps

Visitors who decide to make Fellowship their church home are invited into an Explorer's Class that runs four Sundays in a row, covering the church's history and distinctives as the first step toward formal partnership. A Newcomer Lunch with the staff and elders happens regularly, and families with children of all ages are welcome. The Connection Card is the simplest way to let the church know who you are; it can be filled out online or by texting "guest" to (833) 491-5996.

For ongoing communication, the Church Center app keeps the bulletin, events, registration, giving, and group finder in one place. Members of the body also have access to Right Now Media, a large library of Bible studies, parenting videos, and children's programming, by visiting the invitation page or texting FCCC to 49775. Grace 101, an additional library of resources including Crisis 101 (the Red Sea Rules) and Lessons from the Tacklebox, can be accessed at grace101.org with the username fcchurch and password John3:16. Online giving is available through a secure, recurring-friendly page, and checks may be mailed to the church address.

Visiting Fellowship

The church is at 6263 South Parker Road, with the office open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitors driving from the north take Parker Road south, turn right on South Fraser Street or Orchard Road, then turn left onto the property; alternatively, they may turn right just after the Grove Apartments and left onto the property at the north entrance, where a gate is open only on Sundays. From the south, drivers take Parker Road north, turn left onto Fair Place, take the second right (or the one just after the entrance to the Centennial Crossings apartments), follow the curve, and turn right onto the property.

People are invited to come as they are. Some wear flip-flops, others dress up; both fit in just fine. First-time guests are not asked to stand, give money, or share more than they would like. The Connection Team, wearing yellow lanyards, meets visitors at the front doors with a hot cup of coffee and answers questions about where to go. Arriving fifteen minutes before the service gives time to check in, get settled, and be ready to worship. The Connection Center inside the lobby is the place to register children, sign up for upcoming events, or pick up information on Life Groups, the upcoming sermon series, and the Church Center app.

Fellowship Community Church, in the words that frame its life together, exists to glorify God who transforms lives - to connect with Christ, to connect in community, and to connect to culture, in Centennial and beyond.
