The Table Church fills a familiar stretch of North Fayette Township along Crossroads Drive in Oakdale, just off the interstate west of Pittsburgh, and from there it reaches across the region with campuses in Upper St. Clair and Weirton, West Virginia, plus a Beaver County location on the way. Formerly known as Crossroads Church, it was started in 1991 by Steve and Linda Cordle and has grown into a multi-site congregation shaped by a single, simple habit: gathering around tables. People who have been following Jesus for decades worship alongside the curious and the skeptical here, because, as the church says, there is always a seat at the Table.
One Church, Three Campuses (and One on the Way)
The Table considers itself one church that happens to meet in several places. Sundays look slightly different at each campus, but the values, mission, and teaching stay the same across the network.
The Pittsburgh West campus at 1000 Crossroads Drive in Oakdale is the original location and the hub for the church's central operations. It runs three Sunday services, a livestream operation, Kids Table, Table Youth, Crossroads Preschool, the Kids Table After School program, and the Monday night Celebrate Recovery meeting.
The Pittsburgh South campus at 1120 Boyce Road in Upper St. Clair opened more recently and meets Sundays at 10:00 AM. Kids Table is available there for children from birth through fifth grade, and Table Youth gathers on Wednesday evenings. Crossroads Preschool also operates at the South location.
The Ohio Valley campus at 308 Penco Road in Weirton, West Virginia, also meets Sundays at 10:00 AM. Kids Table is offered at every service, and Table Youth meets on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. A weekly prayer gathering happens Monday mornings at 10:00 AM.
A fourth campus is in the works in Beaver County. The Table Church is planting in Chippewa, Pennsylvania, and is partnering with the Center in Midland to launch Steel City Table Midland at the same time. Both will be led by Dale Roddy, who previously launched the Ohio Valley and Pittsburgh South locations. Until Sunday services begin, the Beaver County work is being built through Table Groups meeting in homes across the community.
What a Sunday at The Table Looks Like
Sunday services last about an hour and generally include music led by a band, prayer, Communion, and a Bible-based message. Communion is served at most services and is open to everyone who seeks God, regardless of church membership. Prayer for personal needs is offered after every service.
At Pittsburgh West, three Sunday gatherings are offered. At 9:00 AM, the Unplugged service provides a live message in an acoustic, more sensory-friendly environment. The 9:30 and 11:00 AM services follow the full service format. The 9:30 and 11:00 AM services are livestreamed online. Pittsburgh South meets Sundays at 10:00 AM (also livestreamed), and Ohio Valley gathers Sundays at 10:00 AM.
The Welcome Center in the lobby is staffed by greeters ready to help newcomers find their way, and Kids Table is available at every weekend service for kids from birth through fifth grade. Dress is casual, and the church's simple invitation is to come as you are.
Kids Table: The Best Table in the Room
Kids Table is The Table Church's children's ministry, serving kids from birth through fifth grade at all campuses. The team describes it as not the little table, but the best table in the room, and the goal is to partner with parents so that kids develop an active, everyday faith at church and at home.
The ministry is divided into two environments. Table Tots serves babies through pre-K, with small chairs, gentle care, worship songs, simple Bible truths, and age-appropriate play. Children begin experiencing community at this stage through Tables, the small-group model the church uses everywhere. Kids Table serves kindergarten through fifth grade with fun activities, high-energy worship, Bible lessons, and small groups led by trained adult leaders.
Safety is a centerpiece. First-time families go through a detailed check-in process and receive matching parent and child security tags that must be presented at pickup. Children are only released to adults, never to siblings or minors. Every Kids Table volunteer passes a background check and completes training before serving, and the check-in desk opens thirty minutes before the service so families can settle in.
Parents are encouraged to pre-check their kids in online before arriving. The Kids Table Spotify playlist provides worship music families can sing along to at home, and the team recommends several children's Bibles (God's Story for Me, The Beginner's Bible, The Adventure Bible, and The Action Bible) for families who want to keep learning during the week.
Table Youth: Middle School and High School
Table Youth is for students in grades six through twelve and meets the goal of being a place where students can ask real questions, belong to a community that cares, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Each week includes high-energy games, worship led by a band, and a message followed by Table Groups, the small-group model where students build real friendships, pray for one another, and talk about how to live out their faith. At Pittsburgh West, Table Youth meets Sundays from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. At Pittsburgh South, it meets Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. At Ohio Valley, the youth gather on the second and fourth Sundays from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, and on the first and third Sundays they meet at the Ohio Valley campus and carpool to Pittsburgh West for combined worship.
Adults who want to serve in Table Youth must complete a leader orientation that includes an interview, background check, and ministry safety training. Students and families can stay connected by texting TABLEYOUTH to 97000.
Tables: The Heart of Discipleship
If Sundays are the front door of The Table Church, Tables are the living room. A Table is a small, intentional gathering that meets in homes, workplaces, or anywhere life happens, where people share a simple meal, talk about the Bible through a Discovery Bible Study, and practice obedience together. Tables are the primary way The Table Church makes disciples.
Anyone can join one. Tables are at their best when those present are at different places in their faith walk, and a first commitment is usually six weeks. A Table meets for up to a year, with the goal of multiplying new leaders so the group can multiply itself. Each gathering follows a simple rhythm: casual conversation over snacks or a crockpot meal, a worship song or prayer, open discussion of a Bible passage, and concrete action steps for the week ahead.
Those who want to start a Table begin with a Table Leader Readiness Survey and a self-guided video course called the Crash Course. They build a small team, host a launch party, and begin meeting using Table Guides or standard Discovery Bible Study questions. Coaches, ongoing training, and Table Team Nights, an even at six leader gatherings each year, support leaders throughout the year. The 2026-2027 Table Team Nights theme is Empowered, exploring how ordinary Christians become Spirit-filled leaders who empower others.
Crossroads Preschool: A Christian Preschool with Two Locations
Crossroads Preschool has been part of the Crossroads/Table family for years and now operates at both Pittsburgh West and Pittsburgh South. It uses the Frog Street research-based curriculum and guides children in seven areas of development: cognitive, creative, emotional, language, physical, social, and spiritual. Throughout the day, teachers thank and praise God and help children see that they are made in His image and deeply loved.
Classes run from September through May at both campuses. Pittsburgh West offers programs for two-year-olds (Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday, or Friday mornings or afternoons), three-year-olds (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday), four-year-olds (Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday), and a Bridge Class for five-year-olds preparing for kindergarten that meets Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Class sizes are small, with a maximum of eight to eighteen children, each paired with a teacher's assistant.
Pittsburgh South offers similar age-based classes with several scheduling options, including half-day and extended-day programs. A Discovery Kids STEM Program for half-day kindergarteners supplements the regular schedule with hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities. Every staff member passes background checks and clearances before working with children, and the curriculum is written in compatibility with the Pennsylvania Department of Education's Common Core State Standards and the West Allegheny and Upper St. Clair school districts. Enrollment for the following school year opens annually through the Brightwheel parent app.
Kids Table After School
For families in the West Allegheny School District, Kids Table After School offers care for kindergarten through fifth grade students after the school day ends. West Allegheny transports students from every elementary school in the district to a secure entrance at The Table Church in Oakdale. The program runs Monday through Thursday from bus drop-off until 6:00 PM and Fridays until 5:30 PM, with homework help, creative projects, games, snacks, and free time built into the afternoon. The monthly fee includes all West Allegheny school days, including scheduled half days, and parents receive updates through the Brightwheel app.
Discipleship Equipping Track
The Table Church runs an Equipping Track that walks people from a first curious question through membership and on into leadership. It begins with Next Step, a short class offered after Sunday services that introduces the church's vision, values, and how to get connected.
From there, the eight-session Following Jesus course covers praying, reading the Bible, putting Jesus first, resisting temptation, and sharing faith. Each session lasts sixty to ninety minutes and meets at all three campuses. After completing it, participants are eligible to become members of The Table Church.
Movement Makers is a transformational nine-month community for those who want to go deeper. Through prayer, worship, teaching, a weekly gender-specific small group, and a global immersion trip, participants grow in identity, calling, and capacity to make disciples wherever life happens. Past cohorts have produced Table leaders, global missionaries, nonprofit founders, and everyday missionaries in workplaces and neighborhoods.
The Encounter Retreat is a one-night, two-day retreat set aside for hearing God's voice and experiencing His love in a focused setting. The four-meal, one-night package is offered several times a year, with confidential scholarships available for those who need them.
BLESS Training prepares believers to share their faith naturally with the people in their everyday circles using a process the church calls BLESS (Begin with prayer, Listen, Eat together, Serve, Share your story).
For teenagers, Following Jesus is also offered in a youth version that leads into student membership.
Prayer Ministry: ConnectUp and Weekly Prayer Gatherings
ConnectUp is The Table's prayer ministry focused on inner healing and personal encounter with God. Sessions are led by a team of two or three trained ministers who have been through the ministry themselves and offer prayer focused on healing of the heart, freedom from oppression, and personal encounter with God. Appointments can be requested through an online form.
Weekly Prayer Gatherings are open to anyone who wants to pray together. They meet Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at Pittsburgh West and Mondays at 10:00 AM at Ohio Valley.
Support Groups for Every Stage
The Table Church hosts a network of support groups that meet on and off campus, designed to walk alongside people through specific struggles and seasons of life.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step program for anyone dealing with hurts, hang-ups, and habits, including addiction, trauma, grief, codependency, anger, anxiety, and relationship issues. The Pittsburgh West group meets Mondays from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and includes worship, teaching, and gender-specific small groups called People Groups.
GriefShare offers help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. Each session combines teaching, small group discussion, and a workbook.
DivorceCare provides a similar supportive environment for those navigating separation and divorce.
FreedUp is a six-week stewardship equipping class for individuals and couples that combines biblical wisdom with practical financial tools. The course is offered at a discounted rate for The Table Church community.
First Place 4 Health is a Bible-based health and wholeness program that meets in person at Pittsburgh West and online during the week.
MomCo gathers and supports moms of young children with relaxed meetings, fellowship, and typically provided childcare. It meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 9:00 to 11:15 AM at Pittsburgh West and at Pittsburgh South.
Missions: Local, National, and Global
The Table Church practices a combination of good works and good news, sending teams, resources, and care into its own neighborhoods, across the United States, and around the world.
Two long-term global partnerships anchor the church's international work. In Panama, the focus is on discipleship and church planting through small groups, women's and children's ministry, and intercultural exchange. In Mozambique, the work centers on community-driven transformation across five areas: water, health, education, evangelism, and love, with the goal of fostering local independence rather than dependence.
Locally, the church partners with Operation Accelerate Justice, which provides food, housing, and medicine for Afghan allies; Portage Community, which offers scholarships and professional development for nursing students in Beaver County and international medical students; 25FortyPGH, a member-led nonprofit that provides physical and spiritual support; and Light of Life, a Pittsburgh organization serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness, poverty, or addiction.
Steel City Table is a ministry of The Table Church that meets practical community needs in Pittsburgh's South Side and beyond, continuing a legacy of free, hot, sit-down community meals. Steel City Table is a place where the unseen are seen and the community gathers to meet needs, build relationships, and share Christ's love one meal, one person, one life at a time.
Beliefs and Denominational Connection
The Table is rooted in the Wesleyan theological tradition and is affiliated with the Global Methodist Church, a denomination that exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe.
The church teaches that God exists eternally as one God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that Jesus Christ, born of the virgin, fully God and fully human, lived a sinless life, died, was buried, rose again, and will return as Judge and King. The Holy Spirit is given to every believer at salvation, empowers holy living, grants gifts for service, and leads believers into truth. All gifts of the Spirit listed in the New Testament, the church teaches, are available to believers today.
Salvation is a gift received through faith in Christ, not something earned or deserved. The Bible is God's Word, written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and is the full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice.
The Table's mission is to multiply disciples who live and lead like Jesus, with a vision to start 10,000 disciple-making Tables in ten years, from living rooms to lunch breaks. Five values shape the church: Real Faith, Real Friends, Real Growth, Real Reach, Real Cost.
Weddings at The Table Church
The Table Church hosts weddings at Pittsburgh West, Pittsburgh South, and Ohio Valley. Pre-marital counseling is a requirement for any couple getting married at The Table Church or by one of its pastors at another location. The cost covers counseling, assessment, and materials. Each campus has its own fee structure that includes a building fee, pastor honorarium, sound technician, and facility cleanup. Weddings at Pittsburgh West also include a wedding coordinator. Couples begin with an online wedding application.
Giving and the Table App
Online giving is managed through Pushpay, and gifts can be designated to a specific campus (Pittsburgh West, Pittsburgh South, Ohio Valley, or Beaver County), to online-only attendance, or to missions. Recurring gifts can be scheduled, year-end statements are issued, and the church accepts stock transfers, corporate gift matching, and other asset-based gifts. The Table Church Network's tax ID is 25-1782080.
The Table Church app is available on iOS, Android, Amazon, and Roku. It gives members access to messages, event information, the Connect Card, and online giving.
