Creekside Community Church meets in Alamo, an unincorporated community in Contra Costa County along the western slope of Mount Diablo. The church's tagline says it directly on its front page: "you matter to God - you matter to us." That double conviction shapes everything from Sunday gatherings to the small groups that meet throughout the week on Danville Boulevard.
Sundays at Creekside
The main Sunday gathering begins at 10:15 am and runs in a contemporary style, with a worship band leading the congregation in song. A full tech and media team handles sound, video, livestream, and projection each week, so the service is available online for those joining from home. Children's classes and student ministries run concurrently with the service, so families with kids of every age can worship together and then move into age-appropriate programming.
Partnering with Parents, Nursery through Fifth Grade
Children's Ministry describes its mission as partnering with parents to train a child to know, grow, and go with Jesus. Sunday morning classes meet at 10:15 am and are organized by age: Nursery, 2's through Kindergarten, 1st through 3rd Grade, and Club 45 for 4th and 5th graders. Curriculum is age-appropriate.
First-time families arrive a few minutes early and follow the banners to the Children's Check-in Station. A visitor registration card is filled out, the child receives a name tag, and a helper walks the family to their classroom. Every teacher and helper has cleared a Ministry Safe process that includes an interview, training, and background and reference checks.
On the 5th Sunday of each month, K through 5th graders enjoy a rotating special event - outdoor game day, art party, magic show, and similar surprises. Each summer, Camp Creekside VBS brings volunteers together for worship, Bible story, crafts, KidVid, registration, games, and snacks. A weekly Children's Ministry newsletter keeps families posted on sign-ups and seasonal events.
Middle and High School Students
Elevate, the middle school ministry, gathers Sunday mornings from 10:15 to 11:30 am and Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, with a Pre-Hangz window from 6:30 to 7:00 pm. The Tuesday gathering focuses on fun, honest community, and small-group discussion of the harder questions students face. The stated mission is to help students feel loved and welcomed, know they belong, and grow in their identity and purpose in Christ.
High School Ministry (HSM) meets Sunday mornings from 10:15 to 11:30 am and Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Each week includes games, worship, teaching, and small groups. The ministry builds around three movements: Discover (encountering the glory of Christ for the first time or as a next step), Deepen (growing as a disciple through scripture, worship, service, and active church participation), and Devote (committing to a life of faith beyond high school). Both student ministries head to Hume Lake for an annual winter camp.
Men and Women Around the Word
Men's Ministry meets in two formats. On Friday mornings from 6:45 to 8:00 am, men gather downstairs in the "family room" to band together as brothers around the challenge of God's Word, with friends and neighbors welcome. A separate men's group meets over Zoom on Thursday mornings from 6:30 to 7:30 am. Other men's options include a Tuesday morning community group and the Friday morning Band of Brothers.
Women's Ministry centers on Bible study. The current study is Joshua: Every Good Promise Fulfilled by Jen Wilkin, offered two ways: Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 am and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. A women's community group also meets Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:00 am.
Community Groups Across the Week
Small groups are the backbone of life beyond Sunday morning. The stated purpose is to extend the weekend gathering into ordinary days, helping people develop healthy relationships, spiritual growth, and a Kingdom identity. Values include welcoming others, discovering Biblical truth through reading and discussion, building authentic relationships, and praying together.
Current open groups include Twenty-Somethings on Sundays from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Creekside, a Men's Group on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 am, a Women's Group on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:00 am, a Mixed Group (married and single) on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in a home, a Women's Group on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, and Band of Brothers on Fridays from 6:45 to 8:00 am.
Worship and Tech Teams
The Worship Ministry exists to create an atmosphere where people feel safe, encouraged, and inspired to worship the Trinity in spirit and truth. Two teams serve on Sundays. Worship Band members are instrumentalists and vocalists who learn, rehearse, and lead the songs. Tech and Media volunteers run sound, video, livestream, and the presentation computer, making the Sunday experience possible both in the room and online.
Next Steps, an App, and RightNow Media
Journey is the church's pathway for new and growing believers, walking through the basics of the Christian faith and connection to the Creekside community. A dedicated church app is available to download for staying connected throughout the week. The church also provides access to RightNow Media, a library of Christian video resources, for every family that wants it.
Pastors and Elders
Andy Fenton serves as Senior Pastor and elder. Tim Brady is Associate Pastor and elder. Jared Dilibero directs Student Ministry. Kerri Sadigh directs Children's Ministry. Isaac Perez directs Worship. The wider elder team also includes Gregg Armstrong, Dave Hannah, Jeremy Mann, Mike Sheedy, and Paul Vinogradov.
