A New Chapter on Church Road
Community Bible Church sits on Church Road in the town of Lockport, New York, in the heart of Niagara County, and it has long been known across Western New York as a Bible-teaching congregation that welcomes every age, from babies to seniors. Pastor Ben Stuckey was installed as lead pastor on July 15, 2025, bringing more than twenty years of ministry experience shaped in part by his own journey through addiction and legal struggles, a story God has used to help churches reach people who have never walked through the doors. Ben and his wife Kristen, a Niagara County native, live in nearby Youngstown and have been married nearly twenty-five years. Together they are parents to Corban and Raegan, and the family enjoys watching their kids' sports, time with friends, and relaxing at home.
The church's mission statement reads, "Sharing Christ's love to change our world one person at a time," and its vision is "a community where every generation belongs and grows." A phrase that runs through every page of the church's communications captures its everyday feel: "Helping people follow Jesus together. A place to belong. A place to grow."
Sundays at Nine and Ten
Sunday morning at CBC begins at 9:00 AM with Sunday School for those who want to dig into Scripture in a smaller setting, and the main worship service gathers at 10:00 AM. Teaching is described as Bible-centered and honest, and the church welcomes anyone interested in learning more about Jesus, from those exploring faith for the first time to those who have walked with Him for years. First-time visitors are invited to plan their visit through the church's visit page so a welcome team can be ready for them.
Nursery and Children's Church are offered during the 10:00 AM service so parents can take part in worship while their children are cared for in age-specific classrooms. Small groups are part of the rhythm of the church as well, providing a way to build real relationships and grow in the Word beyond Sunday morning. For those who cannot attend in person, services are streamed on the church's YouTube channel.
Wednesday Around the Table
Wednesday is the second main gathering day at Community Bible Church. A weekly Prayer Meeting runs from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, a quieter midweek hour set aside for intercession and fellowship.
From September through May, the church's Awana program lights up the building on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. For more than twenty years, committed disciple-makers from the church have met on Wednesday nights, and the evenings begin with a shared meal prepared by church families, a feature that makes the program as much about community as it is about Scripture. Children move from games and activities into small-group Bible study and a large-group lesson, and parents and children alike are welcome at the table. Awana is open to the wider community, not only church members.
A Sixty-Year Investment in Children
Investing in children is described by the church as a sixty-year legacy. Nursery and Children's Church operate during the 10:00 AM worship service and welcome children from nursery through elementary age in safe, age-specific rooms staffed by background-checked volunteers. Lessons are tailored to each age group so that even the youngest children experience Gospel-centered teaching. The church embraces "the giggles, the noise, and the mess that come with childhood," and the rooms are designed to feel like a second home.
Each summer the church hosts a week of Vacation Bible School, organized by volunteers who spend weeks preparing high-energy games, creative crafts, hands-on service projects, and age-appropriate Bible lessons. Every activity is rooted in Scripture and centered on the Gospel, giving kids a memorable week to learn about Jesus and build lasting friendships.
A Safe Place to Worship
Safety and security are treated as a top priority under Pastor Ben's leadership. The church's approach is built around a warm, welcoming culture in which every person is respected regardless of background, supported by a trained team of volunteers and staff who receive instruction in child protection, first aid, and de-escalation.
For children, the church maintains secure check-in and check-out procedures, background-checked volunteers, and age-appropriate supervision during every program. Clear emergency procedures cover medical incidents, severe weather, and building evacuations, with signage and staff guidance ready for quick, orderly action. Controlled entry is used during services and events, and common areas are monitored to keep the environment protected for everyone who walks through the doors.
Giving and Staying Connected
Community Bible Church teaches that giving is a biblical practice: an act of worship, an expression of faith, and a matter of the heart. Online giving is open through the church's Planning Center account, with a mobile option as well. The teaching around generosity is rooted in passages such as Proverbs 3:9, Proverbs 11:25, Proverbs 22:9, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, Mark 12:41-44, Luke 6:38, and Matthew 6:3-4, framing it as cheerful, trusting, and devoted rather than performative.
For ongoing encouragement, the church sends a weekly email with church updates and stays active with the wider community on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, where services are also streamed. The doors at 4168 Church Road in Lockport are open to anyone looking for a place to belong and a place to grow.
