Apalache Baptist Church meets on Gap Creek Road on the north side of Greer, South Carolina, a city that sits in the rolling foothills of Greenville County. Known locally simply as "Apalache," the church centers its life around three weekly worship gatherings and a steady rhythm of Bible study, children, youth, and small-group ministry that fills the rest of the week.
Sunday and Wednesday Gatherings
Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Bible study for all ages meeting an hour earlier at 9:30 AM. A second service follows in the evening at 6 PM, giving members and visitors a second chance to gather on the same day. Wednesday nights at 7 PM round out the weekly schedule, bringing the church together for a midweek service that runs alongside the children's and youth programs.
The church offices are open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Visitors can reach the office at 864.877.6012 or by email at Hello@theapp.church. The address is 1915 Gap Creek Road, Greer, SC 29651.
App Kids
App Kids is the children's ministry at Apalache. Its stated purpose is to partner with families in discipling children to know, grow, and share God's love. App Kids meets at two regular times each week: Sunday evening at 6 PM and Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM. The ministry walks alongside parents from the earliest years through elementary school, sharing the load of spiritual formation at home and at church.
App Youth
App Youth Ministry serves students in seventh through twelfth grade. Its goal is to disciple students by helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to live out the gospel message in everyday life. The youth meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 PM for Bible study and again on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM during the churchwide Bible study hour. Together those two touchpoints make the youth ministry one of the more consistent weekly rhythms at Apalache.
Groups and Bible Study
Beyond the larger gatherings, Apalache invests heavily in small-group life. Discipleship groups meet on Sundays and throughout the week, with the church describing the ministry as "learning about Jesus Christ and growing in a genuine relationship with Him and building authentic relationships with people." A directory of groups is available for anyone looking to connect with a group that fits their stage of life.
What Apalache Believes
The church identifies itself as Baptist and points to a What We Believe page that gathers the "basic beliefs we share with like-minded churches." That statement of faith is the public summary of the doctrinal commitments the congregation holds in common.
Giving and Staying Connected
Giving is offered in several forms: online through the church's giving platform, in person during a service or via a drop box near the church offices, and by mail. The church also accepts gifts of assets, with members encouraged to call or email to discuss the details. Services are livestreamed online, and past services and teaching are archived on the church's YouTube channel for anyone who wants to revisit a recent message. A church calendar, an announcements page, and a weekly newsletter keep the congregation informed of coming events and prayer needs.
